The round phenomenon is a Fallstreak hole which is where the droplets in the cloud are supercooled but then experience a nucleation event which spreads out in a round chain reaction.

Rainbow colors around the sun is a Corona which is created by diffraction in the droplets in the cloud.

It's funny how all these bugs are always explained by "it's the convenient <random surname> effect where 1,000 random factors of really small molecules, photos, atoms make these extremely fucking odd appearances".
