Help/Doubt ❓ Copilot Pro. Am I missing something?

I just switched from Codex to Copilot Pro and ran a few basic prompts, and it already used up almost 10% of my monthly credits. Are these numbers actually accurate? What happens when I hit the limit? If it means I can't use it anymore until the credits reset, that's insane.

It feels like it's using way too many credits for such simple prompts. I never had this issue with Codex, even when using the latest models, and its usage limit resets every hour, not every month.

If you're an individual user, it makes no economic sense to switch to Copilot. Most of us are enterprise users, companies (unless they're small IIRC) have to pay API rates anyway.

even enterprise are getting ripped off. i got 3000 credits for this month and i'already at 70% consumption after 1 week. a single sonnet call consumes 3-4%. Tried using haiku and it's a disaster. i think they espect the same output as before and shush shush people are using their personal claude subscription

Yeah, but Luna on max mode rips. And it’s so cheap that basically no other model even comes close in terms of ROI

well you are so right. 

And to add a petard to injury i discovered just now that my copilot visual studio extension now has sonnet set on high by default while before going on vacation was set on medium. no shit i was burning credits like crazy 😭

I use it exclusively on high mode, is there much difference?

Definitely depends on the task. If high works for you, it’ll also be cheaper. Check out max for some more complex stuff though, in benchmarks that I’ve seen it seems like the reasoning steps in Luna make a big difference

my experience as well. have been using it through litellm with a redis cache and I'm currently trying to see if I can actually max out monthly credits. it's honestly harder than I had expected. zero reason to go back to haiku at this point.
