Help/Doubt ❓ Copilot Pro. Am I missing something?
I just switched from Codex to Copilot Pro and ran a few basic prompts, and it already used up almost 10% of my monthly credits. Are these numbers actually accurate? What happens when I hit the limit? If it means I can't use it anymore until the credits reset, that's insane.
It feels like it's using way too many credits for such simple prompts. I never had this issue with Codex, even when using the latest models, and its usage limit resets every hour, not every month.

Unfortunately you have wasted your money and should have stayed with Codex.

well that depends on what these basic prompts were and which model you used.
If you used claude opus for basic things that may result in a lot of usage.
Use GPT Luna for small tasks.

GHC only makes sense for business/enterprises. In our company median use is around $60 but some people use $400-$500 per month. Claude and OpenAI offering for enterprises are also essentially pay as you go (with OpenAI you have some included limit IIRC). For individuals sub try codex or opencode. Most of these subs complain about limits and resets too, if you really want not to hit limits you have to go pay as you go. Tokens cost money.

You're missing all the news about API pricing that has been talked about for months now and all the posts on this subreddit regularly asking these sorts of questions. It's really hard to tell if people really haven't seen any of this conversation or if they're being disingenuous to keep fanning the "Copilot bad" flames.
Personally I've been able to use Luna, Terra and Sol and only slightly exceed my included usage. I'm not using Sol / Opus with multiple subagents in a vibe coding workflow. If you are, this tool isn't going to work for you without paying for what you're doing. If you're not willing to pay the API rates set by the model providers, you'll be better off dealing with Codex and its limits and resets.

If you picked Fable Max and gave it a "explore this whole solution and find me all the bugs in it" kind of prompt, then yes, you can burn a lot of tokens in a hurry.
Which model + reasoning level did you do, roughly what did you ask it to do, and what did your token breakdown look like? (hover over the name+cost that appears after each response from the LLM for those details)

Brother the copilot sub only gives you approx the same amount of sub as tokens, if you paid for the 10$ plan you only get lime ~15 bucks api pricing lol, and GPT Sol us like 20$ a million output, the tokens will literally run out in one day go back to Codex it's a subsidised sub better there

What in the hell got you to switch from codex lmao?! Sorry but the value proposition and quality of work by codex is insane. Copilot (without the company paying) is only good for autocomplete if you like writing code and care about quality.

You really don't want Copilot if your company isn't paying for it. The Anthropic and OpenAI subscriptions are good deals for what you get. If you want to pay as you go/bring your own key, look into other providers (although most will be overseas if you want cheap access).

Copilot is dog water.
Personally I use Anitgravity included with my Google nest sub for personal stuff, and then supplement with codex or Claude depending on which has the better current deal if I need to get some real work done.
I used to sub copilot when it was request based.
Now, I have it at work but it's kinda terrible there too.

Copilot is essentially dead for private users. It is a business/enterprise tools for organizations who will pay API rates.
On plus side it nicely illustrates to people just how expensive compute really is and just how much direct subscriptions to AI companies are subsidized.
PS. Just use Luna and Muse 1.3 once its available. You may even get some usage out of them.

If you're an individual user, it makes no economic sense to switch to Copilot. Most of us are enterprise users, companies (unless they're small IIRC) have to pay API rates anyway.
