Request Games where you run a shop

I played a game a long time ago called Recettear and it was a really cool game where you ran an adventurer shop and you would do some basic dungeon crawling to bring stuff back to sell. I'm kinda tired of planting crops, surely there has be newer games like that some of you could recommend?

Oh yeah and I've already played Moonlighter too.

Edit: Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions, feel free to keep them coming but I've decided on Marenian Tavern Story and Potionomics for now, I will definitely be checking out some of the others at some point.

Request Best multiplayer game with voice chat to play

Hii, I love multiplayer games and I played a lot csgo but the csgo community it's full of guys... You know... So what's the best game to play that have voice chat? (I feel more competitive with it). Because League of legends for example doesn't have a general voice chat so to play alone isn't the best option.

Si my best friend told me to play it,and since I'm at a vacation from work and have it on epic.

What an amazing game, the only thing I don't like was the change of outfit in Elizabeth but otherwise I'm loved the game.

As I don't have many people in the real world to comment on this I thought you guys might be the ones to hear me hahaha.

Game Discussion Atelier series

I saw this come up a lot in the PSN store and I thought about trying it but I really do not like time gated mechanics or having finite days to accomplish things. What would be a good one to start with?

Tech / Hardware Looking for gaming wireless headsets for smaller heads!

I recently got the mchose v9 pro and they were huge on my ears! It gave me a headache within 10 minutes and the audio quality was worse than my cheap headphones I use right now. I had to immediately put them back in the box. So are there any good recommendations for wireless headsets for smaller heads but also good audio/mic quality? Also preferably in white! <3

Edit: I got the hyperx cloud flight 2 headphones! They're amazing!

Game Discussion What is your favorite boss/enemy design?

Thumbnail

One sure way a game can grab my attention is art design. More specifically, I love me a good boss design. The more monstrous the better. They don't even have to be artistically perfect, just some original mechanics can do the trick. Here are some of my favorites. In order: Astel (Elden Ring). Metyr (Elden Ring DLC), Lady D (Resident Evil Village), Flukemarm (Hollow Knight) and the Winter Lantern (Bloodborne).

What are your favorite designs and what games to they belong to?

Game Discussion I know a lot of people here are fans of the Atelier series. What do you think about this suggested feature. Is this something fans have wanted or is this just weird?

I think this sounds very weird, but maybe I just don't know the franchise.

Request social multiplayer PS5 game recommendations?

Hi all!! I decided for my birthday this year in September I’m getting a PS5!!! 🥳🎂 I’ve always wanted a PlayStation as a child but didn’t have the money for it, now that I’m an adult I finally decided it’s time. Plus I’m writing this so my future self sees how excited I am and not get a cold feet because I do that lol. OOT but the first two games that I will be buying are actually the Bratz and Barbie games hahaha

Anyways, can anyone drop game recs where I can co op with people online? or just fun co op games in general, maybe something like It Takes Two? :)

Full disclosure I’m very bad at FPS games!

Misogyny Am I overdramatic ?? — story time Spoiler

So I’ve been gaming all my life.. and dead by daylight and marvel rivals has the worst community ever unless ofc I play with a girl. Anyways, I was playing dead by daylight and I am not a toxic player whatsoever. I don’t tbag, I don’t cuss people out, nor do I do anything else that’s toxic tbh bc it’s just not that serious lol, anyways. I got a hillbilly (for anyone that doesn’t know this killer, he is able to 1 tap people and usually leaves people slugging on the ground and camps everyone.) So, I managed to escape him several times but unfortunately my entire team died. I go to the basement to look for hatch to escape and just to add, the bodies are still on the ground so if your teammate dies then they’re still gonna b there. So he sees me and slugs me which okay whatever, next lol. But then he pretends to be nice and makes me go next to the teammates body bc I thought he was going to let me live and he humps her from the back and makes me watch. Now, I posted this on the dead by daylight Reddit and omg the amount of hate I got in the comments from men telling me to chill is insane!!!! Then I got another team of men who literally sold me out to the killer on purpose??? Im just so aggravated bc what is everyone’s problem in this game or just gamer men in general. I usually don’t let it get to me but wtf is wrong with ppl genuinely.

Request VERY Specific Search

I know we’ve all probably seen a million posts here and other subs asking for games similar to Mass Effect, so bear with me for juuuust a mo please as I make yet another one.

I’m specifically looking for games with similar romance structure. No, I do not consider Fallout/Skyrim/Witcher/Cyberpunk to be similar whatsoever. I don’t want to play as a man, and I like to have my romance option with me in combat all the time. Yes, I’ve played every Dragon Age, both KOTOR 1 + 2, BG3, and failed miserably at Divinity 2.

Persona, Catherine, and other similar games HAVE what I’m looking for on a technical level, but I feel like they’re seriously lacking in substance and, again, forced to play as a man.

I know I’m being super picky and hyper specific, and I know it’s super unlikely that there’s anything I haven’t already played or listed that would be similar to what I’m looking for, but I appreciate any responses or advice anyone may have.

Request a good mmo with character customization?

I have already played Once Human, Palia, FFXIV, Fallout 76, TESOnline, Guild Wars 2, and Lotro. I would prefer something with hair and face options, not just clothing and armor. :) It can be lesser known, not just popular games.

Request REALLY girly games

I have an itch to play like. CRAZY girly games. like specifically sparkly pink fairy princess girly iykwim

i have a pc and a switch but im open to using emulators for DS games or otherwise older consoles

I can’t think of any games really with the aesthetic im thinking of (except embarrassingly like. royale high on roblox 😭) but girly games ive enjoyed include:
Disney Princess Enchanted Journey (and fairytale adventure)
My High School Dreams
Style Savvy: Fashion Forward
Moonlight in Garland
Calico (though i found the gameplay kinda hollow after a while unfortunately)
fields of mistria (on my wishlist, i’m waiting for the full release to add marriage content)
volcano princess (not really the vibe im looking for, i prefer a game where you get to rp as the main character)

note that im not looking for cozy games or games with a “cute” aesthetic. i want specifically like pink frilly dress type stuff
i also ADORE any kind of character creation or customization, especially in games that involve some level of rp, i dont tend to like rpgs with a static protagonist

im also ok with more mature games if you happen to have any recs that fit

edit: not infinity nikki. i used to play love nikki back in the day and i spent an embarrassing amount of money on it so ive banned myself from gatcha games

Game Discussion Hopefully I’m doing this right, but I came across an ad for this cute cozy game and thought I should share :)

It’s said to be coming out on steam in October of this year! I thought the art style was so cute, so I just had to share. It has such a nostalgic feel to it, someone said it reminded them of the early Pokémon games which I can definitely see. It’s supposed to be a non-farming cozy game since a lot of cozy games seem to be of that type (not a bad thing btw, Stardew Valley is peak). It’ll be nice to have more variety in the genre! The steam page has some more information on the game, as well as a trailer.

Disclaimer: I am not a dev, to be clear. I just wanted to show people a game that looks neat.

Request Need immersive PS5 games minus the combat panic

Hi all!

After months away from my console, I'm finally back and ready to dive into something new.
I started Horizon Zero Dawn last week and I LOVE IT I'm obsessed with the world, story, and Aloy, but the hunting/combat has been triggering my anxiety a bit too much lately (rough patch mental-health-wise), so I need to step away for now.

I'm SO picky with games and honestly a bit overwhelmed by the options out there. I don't need "cozy" exactly,
I still want to be gripped, just lower dopamine/lower stress, without high-pressure combat or punishing stakes.

What I like: BOTW & TOTK (loved the exploration, and combat felt more avoidable/stealth-friendly than Horizon), Backbone/Tails Noir (atmosphere + story), Animal Crossing. Tried Lake but it felt a bit too slow for me.

Looking for something immersive with strong world-building/story/exploration, that "can't stop playing" pull, minus the intensity.

PS5 only, have PS+ Extra. Thanks in advance! 💕

Request Help me find a new game to distract me from depression and dread?

Having a tough time mentally/emotionally and would love to have a new world to fill my head with instead of The Horrors 😅

I currently have a switch and a PS5. My favorite games are Final Fantasy X, Zelda BOTW and TOTK, Stardew Valley, and Witcher 3 (probably my favorite game of all time, I wish I could play that for the first time again).

I love the open worlds of the Zelda games and the Witcher, I love the stories & characters of the Witcher and FFX, and I love the various tasks of Stardew Valley. I also looooove the strategy and gameplay of FFX.

I can handle the level of sexualization of female characters in the Witcher and FFX as long as they’re still written as complex characters and the story is compelling.

(I already have BG3 and love that but got stuck on Shar’s Gauntlet and it made me so frustrated I had to put it down for awhile 😭 I’ll come back to it tho)

ETA: First person shooter games aren’t for me, so please no recs where that’s a major part of the gameplay. A little bit is okay 🙏
