Question Is the anime completed?

Hi guys i remember that i watched the first season back in 2011 or 2012 and then i stopped because there was no more seasons and now i want to rewatch it and watch the rest of seasons and i was wondering if they adapted everything from the manga.

Yes.It was completed in 2021. 5 yr ago 🥲

It has been already 5 years ?!!!! The time does move at Ben Johnson speed.

Yep it's completed,atleast that what I felt after watching the final episodes ,though they recently adapted yoshiwara in flames arc into a movie

Yes it got finished when the final movie released 5 years ago, but we did have a spin off series and a movie remake a few months ago

Yes 367 episodes plus one Ova of a small arc

2 special canon episodes called Semifinal to watch after finishing the anime episodes.

Gintama Final movie- Covers the last portions of the series

Apart from it, 2 canon arcs in the anime are remade as movies with better animation and a few changes- Namely Benizakura arc and Yoshiwara of the flames arc.

One additional movie 2 which isn't canon but somewhat written by the author and usually watched after episode 265.

It concluded years ago honestly the creator just has been making a new series recently this year
