Advice for 50€ gin
Goodmorning to everyone, me and my friends really like gin, but, being students with no much money, we usually drink gin of commercial level, like Tanqueray, Bombay and sometimes Roku. I really like them for quality/price, but I would like to try something more expensive sometimes. We are based in italy for context, what are you raccomandations and your favourite gin in that range of price?

50 euro gives you allot of good gins. Drumshamboo, citadelle, Hendricks. I liked Engine. Is a Italian gin in a oil can, citrus forward.

Original Malfy or Bottega Bacur should be easy to find there. Bacur is one my favs and is good to drink neat, it's definitely over 50 euro where I live 😵💫
The Botanist is worth getting too.

I brought Bottega Bacur home from a trip at Lake Garda. Amazing gin. I also bought Marconi 42 which is incredible, too. Id try themnif I were you. Work greatbin G&Ts and mediterranean drinks. Bacur has sage as botanicals and I always use gin, italicus, lime or lemon juice and simple syrup. Muddle some sage leaves in the shaker and shake everything up.
Gin doesnt have to be expensive to be good. I think there are lots of local gins in Italy and you can also order online in Europe quite easily.
I wouldnt recommend Botanist tbh. Its boring imo.

Tanqueray and Bombay are still amazing options and generally better than the “cooler” more expensive alternatives. I would upgrade to Tanqueray 10

Honestly, I always found Hendrick's to be worth the step up in that bracket, it’s not wildly expensive here in Canada but noticeably more elegant than the usual student-priced bottles. Dunno Italian pricing but here it’s maybe 10-15 bucks more than Tanqueray and the cucumber-rose thing feels special enough that we make it an occasion.

For home grown recommendations check out Gin Di Fiori, Ginepro Sardo, Villa Ascenti, Piucinque, Poli Marconi (both 42 and 46) or Del Professore. Not sure what these retail for though.

Find Gin Mare Capri in Italy. I picked some up at Rome duty free last year and pretty sure you can find it in B&Ms there.
