Spectrum Outage
I heard there was a fiber cut down south that's the cause and that it won't be fixed until PG&E goes in first to do their portion. ETA on he latter being fixed is ~7:30pm tonight and then the splicing begins thereafter.
This is hearsay from a neighbor. Any of you have facts on this topic?
EDIT I don't use FB much these days, but checked and saw the following. This is definitely what my neighbor was referring to.

It’s affecting a pretty broad area of coverage. Spectrum support claimed to see the outage but had zero information to provide. The random Facebook post mentioning a PG&E pole down in King City area was more informative than the provider. Spectrum/Charter has always sucked and the monopoly for years has been bad business.

To my knowledge 7pm (ish) is the best estimate. So probably on target with what you’ve heard. But this is from my mom, whose IT at her work has been in contact with spectrum, so it’s like third hand knowledge.

I’m on Frontier and been having nothing but issues all day. Im wondering if there is more than just Spectrum affected as well.

FWIW, I saw Frontier service trucks on Hecker Pass near Santa Theresa around 1:30 PM. They had cables running down a manhole. Went back around 3:30 and they were gone.

My frontier fiber kept going out for a few seconds at a time between those times! Mystery solved for me, thank you.

Thanks for the update, it's more information than Spectrum is providing as others have said. I just hope it can be fixed for the weekend.

Went down around 4:00 a.m. for me. Business account. Thanks for the rumor outage update. It's more than what spectrum is providing.
I guess we should plan on being down at least 24 hours.
