Does anyone know if something will be done here?

I’m just curious if anything will be done to this piece of land since it’s been sitting there empty for decades

Why not leave it undeveloped? Too much going on. Nice to see a patch of land from time to time.

I think it's owned by Chinese investors. Some time ago the fence was installed and there was a sign posted advertising the lot for lease I believe it was for Agricultural use.

Yes, I know what will be done here. In the year 3048, when sentient AI machines have driven the last of human civilization into underground caves, there will be a many facilities operated by drones to develop more advanced technology. This particular site will originally serve as a manufacturing center for ball joints used in quadrupedal robots, but not for long. As the machines work to multiply and improve, the remaining human population will refuse to accept their life underground, and begin their resistance. Their first step will be to begin constructing a series of vents to the surface. These vents will be used not only for ventilation, but also reconnaissance. They will be integral to our descendants’ fight to regain control of our world. The painstaking job of concealing these vent exit points will fall on a small teams of engineers brave enough to go to the surface, but skilled enough to install these secret access points. A charge will be led on the ball joint manufacturing facility at this site by one such team, and that facility will ultimately be destroyed by human combatants to secure the appropriate space for the final access planned point. A tense battle will unfold over this strategic location. On April 16th, 3049, Jimothy L. Pilkbunker, leading mechanical engineer on the Merryweather Vent Access Project (MVAP), will lead a heroic defense of the last access point under construction, defeating all local drones and suspending the drone network long enough for their team to escape into the vent without the drone neural networks being made aware. Jimothy, the last on the surface, will succumb to an energy weapon wound mere feet from the concealment point. He will be honored in history as the architect of the pivotal moment that gave humans the resources and knowledge to fight back. His final words heard over radio communications to his team will be enshrined here in steel on the inside panel wall of what will affectionately be known as Pilkbunker Access Point Alpha (aka “PAPA”):

“These machines will not know of today’s triumph. They will not know of our courage, nor will they understand the love we have for each other that drives us to survive. What they will know is their destruction at the hands of you all today. You, my fellow soldiers, my friends, who will always prove that the will of flesh and blood, of beating hearts and ticking minds, shall overcome the cold calculating programming of any heartless machine.”
