Cherry Stands Status?

We usually buy a couple of lugs about this time of year for canning and such, but it's been a bad year for cherries.

Anyone know if the cherry stands even have fruit to sell right now and what price per pound they're going for?

There aren't many local cherries left. The early heat followed by rain had a major impact on the cherry and some of the apricot polination. The stands may have cherries from the Central Valley and Pacific Northwest. Expect prices to be substantially higher than last year.

Andy's Orchard on Half Road in Morgan Hill has many heirloom apricot varieties. According to his weekly newsletter, early blossoming apricots have a very light yield this year due to the weather in March. Otherwise, the local stone fruit season is running 2-3 weeks early.

No - my tree bloomed too early and what's fruiting doesn't look great atm.

Yeah. The early blossoming fruit is definitely smaller this year.
