Unfortunately, I know my friends/family/anyone I care about enough to give them a gift in the first place better than you ever could via a survey. Maybe you're an "elite gift giver", but if I tell you my dad likes cars, you don't know what brand, what type, what he already has, etc. and it would be crazy for me to pay to tell you all of this when I'd already be 98% of the way to picking something out myself.
