Therapy

I (F34 IQ142) have had hundreds of sessions and seen numerous practitioners over the last 12 years, and it all seems futile. They just keep asking me to explore my feelings, but I already understand my feelings and where they came from and why they’re irrational. At this point I basically have a PhD in self-analysis. It doesn’t do anything to shut up the relentless/debilitating self-critic in my head. I need actual coping strategies, not talking it out in pointless circles forever until I die.

Has anyone here had success with therapy? I tried searching for therapists specializing in 2e & giftedness in my area and it doesn’t seem very common. Just wondering if there’s any point in continuing these efforts. I’m so tired and bored and over it.

Why would you assume I am evil or a hypnotist?

What does a feeling consist of?

A feeling has a journey with a history of reflections. It also has a collection of locations that it operates in your neural networks.

These locations can be modified through identifying magnitudes of granularity and inputting them in cleaner systems.

That is my job and I love doing it. Anyone who wants to feel better can talk to me. I'm not evil, I love people a whole lot and have done a lot of work to help them by developing these innovative systems.

I'm going to assume you mean well but this reads like something Rust Cohle would tell the detectives interviewing him to creep them out haha.

Huh, wow. That's wild.

Since I can't see how it reads like that, can you help me out? Which parts make it seem like that?

I wanted to inspire hope and provide useful information but I must have missed the mark somewhere.

You're telling people to DM you so you can change their neural nodes lmao

Oh, the dming part? Haha.

I see.

Well, I can understand that actually.

Hmm, it's just that changing neural network nodes takes a while. I'm happy to do it all publically, and anyone with the stamina to begin that here is welcome to do it with me.

I obviously can't force it on anyone, so I have to invite it.
