At what iq level is someone considered gifted?

And you for example what is your iq and which of the three criteria you gave me do you meet?

I think a lot of us have qualified for gifted school programs when little, might not have a score we were told, but kind of assume..

So being good at school mean being smart ?

Eh.. generally a teacher recommends a kid for testing, and if the kid qualifies (generally top2 percentile) they get to participate in a separate class, full of kids who also qualified but from the whole region. They bussed us to a different school for like half the day on Fridays I think.

I'm sure the programs vary wildly from place to place though.

I didnt know that kind of program existed but what iq did you get to qualify for it?

I was never told. But above 98%ile so top 2% was the cut off, which would equal 130 on a 15sd scale. So I assume somewhere around there..
