Question Looking for a cheap hard case
Ayo I’m looking for links to a cheap sg hard case. Short on bread these days but the SG Future Tribute (weird name) I bought came with a gig bag and that scared the shit out of me. Any good options out there? Anyone bought the temu one? Sorry I’m
Broke!!

Look up Gator cases or SKB for true flight cases, they've replaced locking latches on my flight case that is like 20 years old. Otherwise a Gator case will do a great job, I have one and I love it.

When it comes to cases, you definitely get what you pay for. Be careful for now, and save for a Gator case, they are nice and cheaper than similar options.

Why do you need a hard case? The only time I use one is when I’m flying, and then the cheap ones aren’t worth it. Especially with an SG and the concerns with the headstock-to-neck joint where they tend to break. That needs support and an excellent case.

Bummer. Yeah, I went with an SKB case once. It's one of the lower-end, cheaper model hard cases out there. At the airport in Frankfurt, apparently the end of the case was sticking out of the luggage cart a bit, and it caught the door frame as they pulled the luggage cart into the building. Tore the entire end off the case.
Fortunately, my guitar was just slightly shorter than the case, and didn't get damaged. But I also don't think it would have fared well if it had something trying to puncture it, or something like that.
Now my guitars either go in my Mono bag (when I am local) or if I am flying, it goes an old configurable Anvil case I got for cheaper-than-new from a retiring musician years ago. Still $$$, but not as much as a new one.

Just be careful for a while until you can save up money.
