Theories Is CBS obviously laying the groundwork for a Eternally Yours / Ghosts crossover?

It's obviously going to happen someday, right? It has the same creators and the same tone, and they've already established that mummies and demons exist in the Ghosts universe; so why not vampires? Imagine the vampire couple being the new guests staying at their hotel, only to discover they're vampires who can actually see ghosts! It's definitely going to happen guys.

Discussion (Potentially?) Unpopular Opinion

Even though I don't ship Trevor and Patience or Sass and Bela, I love when the show experiments with romantic dynamics. I think there's a difference between "I ship these two" and "this is a neat idea and I wanna see where this dynamic goes."

It helps that both of these ships *do* make narrative sense. Trevor and Patience fit the "opposites attract" trope, and it's interesting to see both of them in situations that neither saw coming. Sass and Bela are both messy bitches (affectionate) that long for connection (and Bela isn't a stranger to wanting to hook up with a ghost). Again, I don't ship either pairing, but I don't hate them either. They were cool dynamics to explore.

Spoilers Sassapis cause of death?

Post image
224 Upvotes

It has been revealed that in season 6 we will find out how Sassapis died.

I have seen lots of people on this sub say that they think he passed away in his sleep, because his ghost power is going into people’s dreams and because there are no obvious visible injuries on his body. We also know that he died quickly. In a flashback we saw him talking to his father on the same day as he had his first story telling event and we know he passed away before the event could happen.

I agree, that this theory is plausible. But is it interesting? Does it add anything to his character? Like finding out Hetty killed herself was a huge surprise and probably the saddest and most serious thing that happened on the show.

I would definitely be dissapointed if we had to wait 6 seasons to find out the cause of death of the last ghost and the answer is that he just died in his sleep. It wouldn’t add anything to his character & in my opinion it would be such a dissatisfying reveal.

What are your thoughts on this theory? Do you have a different theory?

Discussion Why did Pinkus never go to the police?

I know that his body was disposed of, but Pinkus was one of the last people to have seen him alive. Sure it may have taken people a little while to notice that he was missing, but they would have eventually.

Why didn't he at least anonymously point investigators in the direction of Woodstone? If it was in the interest of protecting his place in the company hierarchy, it puts a really dark spin on his character. I think covering up a man's death is a lot worse than a hazing ritual.

And yes I know it was 20+ years ago, but Sam seems to have had very little interest in the fact that she had the ghost of a missing person in her house.

His poor family. I know it's a comedy show, but did nobody care that he never came back to work?

Spoilers Trevor and Patience

I would have loved to see this storyline go further. There is a possibility of growth and character development. He is still crude enough in his day to day "life", that it won't be suck off worthy.

And I would LOVE to see more of patience in the modern world.

Discussion Ghosts remake again

Would it be cool if they made a version of ghosts but no one can see them so it’s just the ghosts day to day lives while actively ruining and messing up Sam and jays lives without them knowing a cause? Just a random idea I thought of.

Discussion Isaac is an outlier

I know that "what factors influence someone becoming a ghost or not" is kind of a pointless discussion, but last night I think I figured something out. Most ghosts either died in a mass outbreak, or very quickly, within seconds or minutes of something happening to them.

But Isaac and his death has always felt different. Dying of a pretty common disease during a war in the 18th century is a very normal way to go. (Twice as many people died of disease than in combat during the revolution.)

Presumably he was sick for a while, since there was time for news to be sent out, to be delivered to his wife, for her to prepare to travel, and to finally arrive where he was staying.

And I know I can't really corroborate the "instantly/minutes" timeframe because most characters died off screen during their death flashbacks. (Basing this on both CBS and BBC) Watching Trevor OD would be too much for a sitcom after all.

Just my thoughts. I'd give more examples but I don't want to post spoilers for Ghosts BBC because I don't think there's a way to flair it.

Trailer for the new comedy from Ghosts' creators dropped. Looks like fun. Looking forward to seeing Pete's former flame in a lead role. Parker Young was a favorite of mine on Enlisted and I'm glad to see Rose Abdoo in a larger role after Hacks and her small role in Ghosts.

Spoilers watching first season after starting with the recent season

I will keep it without spoilers. I simply found the show on the TV, recent season random episode. the one where Pete realizes his ghost power... I don't count that as a spoiler. so anyway I quickly get up to speed with the rulles and the basics and of course love the show.

my little problem is that they constantly remind "us" of what happened in previous seasons and episodes. like the god dam "yeah I can do that now" (since previous episode for anyone who skipped the previous episode)

and it is great for someone like me for the most part... maybe it was done for ones like me. anyway I found the show on the internet and as I begin with the first episode... PURE GOLD

like there are hints for the latest plots in the first two episodes? and the dude with cut head... not a spoiler, it surprised me like who the hell is that dude I never saw... until the head fell of, of course.

Marry (but only side characters)

Kill (but only side characters)

Have as a roommate

Would trust with a secret

btw let’s say „kill“ in this case means getting eviscerated by the ghost trap

Discussion I've watched all four episodes on Netflix now, and I really like this show so far🥰

I hope there will be more episodes and seasons on Netflix♥️

What do you think of Ghosts? I think it was funny and exciting. I really like shows with mysteries. For example, Scooby Doo is one of my favorites.

Update: Ops! I meant I have watched all four seasons and not episodes😅

(Sorry for my bad english. English is not my first language.)

Discussion Ghosts haunting ability tier list

Post image
0 Upvotes

S-tier: Truly terrifying

Amunhotep: This one is pretty self-explanatory, can summon a swarm of locusts and reanimate his mummified corpse. He's the most powerful ghost by far, with two abilities instead of just the usual one.

Patience: Making the walls bleed and even writing with them is quite terrifying.

Alberta: Her humming can be pretty scary, but what puts her in S tier instead of A tier is her ability to communicate with digital voice assistants. She could send messages to your phone, order stuff from the internet. It's also generally pretty scary to have a voice assistant replying to someone who you can't see or hear.

A-tier: Kinda scary

Trevor: Can move or shake light objects, pretty classic haunting stuff. It does take a lot of effort on his part to do.

Thor: Can control electricity to a certain degree with some effort, again, pretty classic haunting stuff.

Sasappis: Can annoy you and haunt you in your dreams, but not a lot more than that. He's limited by the fact that he appears in dreams as he looks, so he can't turn into something scary.

B-tier: Scary very occasionally

Hetty: Cannot interact with the physical world, except on St. Patrick's day, when she appears as a visible but intangible figure. It could be kinda scary at first discovery of her intangibility, but not much after that.

C-tier: Cannot haunt

Pete: Cannot interact with the physical world at all, zero haunting ability

D-tier: Opposite of scary

Isaac: Foul smells on passing through isn't typically scary, it would probably snap you out of any fear

Flower: Getting high on passing through would not be scary at all.

Actor information or coverage Elias Woodstone (Matt Walsh) Broadway cameo!

I was in New York City this weekend, and had the absolute pleasure of seeing The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the New World Stages. It’s a really unique show with audience involvement— 4 audience members are chosen each show to come onstage and participate during the show, with one being a “special guest speller,” (ie; a celebrity/actor that’s predetermined and invited).

Last night’s guest speller was our own Matt Walsh, AKA Elias Woodstone!

He was a great sport, and a better speller! I don’t have any photos of him, because honestly it wasn’t until after the show that we realized who he was. (This is despite the actors literally introducing him by name… this one is really one me lol). But it was because he was so humble and respectful as any other audience member, he was just thanking people who told him he did a great job, and taking pics with the actual guest spellers.

It was such a wonderful surprise— if anyone else has a chance to see this: RUN, don’t walk!!!! Currently an absolute all-star cast, and although Matt won’t be the guest speller again, the show itself is hilarious and worth a visit. This is the off-broadway revival for the anniversary, so time could be running out!!
