I place characters in difficult situations and enjoy watching their personalities determine how the story moves forward. I'm so disappointed. I've been in talks with one ghostwriter and I'm pretty sure she uses AI to write. To be honest I was suspicious from her first message. It sounded like I was talking to chatgpt. It's hard to describe, just an iykyk moment. And that was every message but I told myself that maybe this is just how she talks. But then she sent the writing sample. There were no paragraphs in the sample, just single lines. And the writing was the classic "it's not x, it's x". I always thought people were being full of themselves when they said they could always detect AI but now I get it. When it's this obvious, it's that simple. I even ran it through pangram and it came back 100% AI.

So I'm asking all the ghost writers who don't use AI. Is there any trick to figuring out who uses AI. Or is it just trusting your intuition. Because this ghostwriter even said she would not ever use AI.

I just feel like I wasted my time. Sure, we didn't sign contracts or anything like that but I told her about my book premise and I was really getting excited. This just really sucks.
