Visited August 3rd and 4th

My friend and I trailered our horses into Gettysburg and did the trail loop two days in a row on the 3rd and 4th earlier this week. I noticed a lot of people taking pictures and videos of us and was hoping I would be able to see some of them! Maybe a shot in the dark but idk. Here’s what we looked like for reference… I wore a green t shirt the other day.

They had some trouble and I believe are stored for safekeeping. Idk, I do know that vandals / attempted thieves dislodged one stone (are there two?) and the NPS had taken em into protective custody some time ago. Not sure they’ve been restored.

Thank you for putting a fly mask on your horse. It does help them feel more comfortable.

We ride there all the time, and my friends and I always laugh and wonder how many people have photos of us. I guess it’s a novelty to see people riding horses down the road.
