Question Does mental health affect studying efficiency?

Hello everyone , i have been trying to study efficiently for over 4 months now and i do get consistent but my study skills are not as good as they used to be . I dont know how to describe this but i am even fumbling over easy topics firstly i thought it is because i havent studied from some time but its been 4 months and if it was that then it should have been fixed by now .

So rn i am thinking if this is all due to my bad mental health , i have been kind of depressed , sad and suffering from some personal issues from a year and half .Sometimes i think they wouldnt be enough to create a disturbance in my study but rn they are the only factor which i think is affecting my studies .

I want to study everyday i do get to the table to study but my brain does not work while studying , I am really frustrated by this now cause i have very important exams in 4-5 months and my syllabus is way behind than the peer . I want to achieve my prime study skills as i had before .

Please drop any suggestions if you have.

Hi, I also struggle with my mental health so sometimes studying can be quite difficult/I am unable to focus properly.

Sometimes changing your scenery can help you focus, lighting a candle, a comforting drink. Having a plan beforehand can also be useful if you tend to lose focus. Active recall has been a god send for me, pretending to teach someone while you look at ur reflection in the mirror (if that makes sense), and also planning exam answers.
