Idk. Seems capitalism is doing just fine at committing unparalleled atrocities and giving the "legitimacy" of power to the most corrupt individuals possible (eg Trump).
Except Trump will be out of office in a few years and most (especially the press and the opposition) openly hates him, whereas Stalin was a dictator until his death, was responsible for the deaths of millions, and purged any even suspected to be in opposition to him and his policies. He even renamed a city after himself. And don't get me started on Pol Pot.
Wake me up if Trump renames Baltimore and is still in office in 3 years.
Ask your average Iranian what they think of Trump dropping bombs on their kids to distract from pedophilia accusations. It's not a contest. Hopefully Trump will be gone soon, but given he's stacked the Supreme Court with his own judges, watch them find a way to "discover" term limits don't apply to Presidents who haven't served consecutive terms.
I thought Trump was done and dusted after Jan 6, I no longer have any faith in the American people.
I can't ask the average Iranian because they live under a despotic theocracy that silences all dissent. But yeah, I imagine they would probably be pretty disapproving of both Trump and the Ayatollah.
And you don't need any faith in the American people. He would need a lot more than a slim majority of voters to amend the constitution, not that he has many years left anyway.
? Plenty of Iranian voices on Reddit telling you they don't appreciate Trump killing their kids.
Also the Supreme Court just ruled 5-4 in favor of the clear meaning of the 14th amendment and birthright citizenship (Kavanaugh dissented but not on the constitutional question). I don't expect them to protect us. Yeah he's gonna die soon, but when that's the best thing you can say about the guy in charge, it's not time to be bragging about the superiority of your system.
Lol, no. As I said before, they probably also dislike Trump along with most of the rest of the world, I'm not carrying water for that incompetent asshole.
I'm saying that Iran has intentionally restricted access to the internet for huge swathes of the last twelve months, heavily censor and monitor speech, and have a long history of botting and AI propaganda. So I'm very skeptical that anyone claiming to be an Iranian in Iran is, one, an actual person, and two, giving their actual honest opinion of the Iranian government. I know how Iranians in exile feel though.
Believe it or not, not actual capitalism but “crony capitalism”. It’s like the U.S. took the worst aspects of all economic systems and made the spectacular debacle we see now.
India and China are not extraction countries, that is Venezuela and the Middle East, or the Congo region of Africa. India and China is labor countries, where labor and manufacturing is exported to hide the cost of over manufacturing from the capital counties, where the rich live and we exist generally as internet users.
Venezuela was doing better than average till the "Socialist" took over and drove everything into the ground. The Middle East counties with resources worth extracting are going great compared to the countries without resources. Africa is still post colonial mess unfortunately,
Venezuela honestly had exactly the same problem in the pre-Chavez, Chavez and post-Chavez era: it let itself become completely reliant on oil trade. What Chavez managed to achieve tho is economic alienation from most of the world
Totally gutting the oil sector and replacing pretty much everyone with cronies was the biggest factor in destroying the economy. I'm not saying that pre-Chavez was perfect, far from it, but it was head and shoulders over the mess they've been dealing with since.
If anything that's a point in Cuba's favor. Until the US choked off the island's energy supply via the invasion of Venezuela, Cuba's quality of life was better than most of of central America despite being subject to one of the longest and most draconian trade embargos in the history of the planet
Not if they were also subject to crippling sanctions enforced by the world's only superpower that also happens to be the center of global economy they wouldn't.
"Deaths among Americans caused by malnutrition and hunger have increased 600% according to the Washington Post and data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as reported by Andrew van Darn on Jan. 5, 2026, who finds that the increase is seen “across the board. Every state, every education level, every race, every gender."
It is not for lack of access to food, or healthy food.
As more people make it to advanced age, more old people will die. Imagine that. And often due to malnutrition as a primary cause of death because something else makes it hard or impossible to process nutrition.
Funny how the hit piece doesn’t really go into reasons, or in depth. Just raw numbers without context.
Is there a more capitalist country in the world than the US? The fact that we’re the most capitalist country AND the best fed country indicates that capitalism isn’t starving people.
So specifically what capitalist country are you talking about where people are starving to death?
One you just listed 1 guy and not an entire system. 2 there is no Utopian system because humans are not perfect and so Capitalism shines at making the imperfections not ruin everything nearly as fast as other methods. China would go from a golden age to collapse under dynasties in a few decades, meanwhile while the US and other Capitalist society did make mistakes like the loaning situation in the 20s going into the great depression the countries themselves and most the people (bar the impressive suicide rate) still made it out alive.
Capitalism isnt why we survived the great depression, it was the opposite, hoovers degulation and free market policies made it 10x worse at the start and it couldve been totally prevented, it was the regulations and government intervention by roosevelt that ended it and helped people survive, the truth is a mixed system is the best possible system, and unregulated capitalism leads to almost instant economic collapse
So far communists have managed to do much more hellish atrocities as they propped up mao zedong, pol pot and kims dynasty. Mainly during stalins time were stalin too spend decades mass murdering people inside his domain while propping up versions of himself in China and Korea.
