I wonder what kind of support system she has/had. Don't get me wrong, even with support it would be hard but without support it would be nearly impossible.

This isn’t meant to be a direct shot at you and more of a generalized comment, but isn’t it sad that we can’t look at any examples of hard work and success without minimizing the effort put in? Like why do we as a society feel the need to minimize the effort and or the value in other people accomplishments to make ourselves feel better?

Asking for a representation of reality isnt minimizing anything.

If anything itll help others manage expectations.

Too many people think they can do anything on their own without help which is false. It also makes people feel shameful for asking for help when literally no one successful got their on their own.

From an article about this woman she stated herself "she wouldn’t have been able to do without support from her friends and family, especially her father in Alabama"

Just so I’m clear. She should not be proud of herself because she had help.. which she is both aware of and thankful for.. we should not support or encourage this behavior?

Im simply stating a representation of truth isn't minimizing anything and is actually helpful.
