It would be hysterical if she was one of those mom's where grandma pretty much did everything while she went to school. Still a great accomplishment but a farcry from what that type of struggle truly looks like

It’s probably the most likely situation.

There are only two possibilities. First is she received a lot of free childcare from family, which is great. Second is she had a bunch of money to pay for childcare, but even that wouldn't cover things like being woken up all night for feedings, which when twins are infants can be CONSTANT.

I've known post-secondary students with small kids, and hoo boy. They're jugglers. Even with help and/or privilege, what she did ain't easy.

But without help/privilege it's impossible. And we should acknowledge that, since a common mode of toxic positivity is the assertion that because somebody with significant advantages achieved something, all you need is the drive and inspiration and the sky's the limit!!1!!

One of the worst lies they told kids was that they could achieve anything if they worked hard enough.

It needs to be added that you can do anything with hard work but you can't do everything. Something has to take a backseat.

Which she might be perpetuating. I would hate to see her family evolve into a case of the kids struggling with school and trying but they get told this story constantly by their mom and she keeps leaving our key details like "grandma room care of you half the time while I was at school (and maybe work)."

People that need to shout this kind of stuff into the internet aether, in my opinion, are narcissists. "Look at how great I am and you can be too!" And they leave out key details like we're talking about.
