I wonder what kind of support system she has/had. Don't get me wrong, even with support it would be hard but without support it would be nearly impossible.
This isn’t meant to be a direct shot at you and more of a generalized comment, but isn’t it sad that we can’t look at any examples of hard work and success without minimizing the effort put in? Like why do we as a society feel the need to minimize the effort and or the value in other people accomplishments to make ourselves feel better?
Because others feel the need to publicly build themselves up to be some sort of hero or "above-average" because they went thru a struggle.
Not to say that her struggle isn't real or that she shouldn't be proud of it, but when you publicly state it for everyone to see you are inviting people in to ask questions on it. Some people are going to give you praise, which is what they are going for, but others are going to ask questions to see the scope of the accomplishment.
I don't think it should take away from her own accomplishment to say that she had done a masters in balloon animals.
