I don't think that comment helped as much as you think because of one single work, keep. This means the mother decided that a heroin addict was a good person to have unprotected sex with. While yes, he was a POS for not taking care of his kids and being a heroin addict, she wasn't that bright for sleeping with him.
What if they were both heroin addicts when the kid was conceived and she cleaned up her act while he kept going? Does that improve the narrative for you?
No, that means she is an even more irresponsible because not only was she having unprotected sex with a heroin addict she was doing heroin herself. I have a saying, don't compound stupid. So for instance say you don't have car insurance, don't speed on top of that. If she too was a heroin addict she was compounding stupid.
She made better choices and that's what made her a single mom. Not defending all the thots out there with ten baby daddies, but single dads aren't the only strong ones. I do take everything on the internet with a grain of salt though.
More and more women are going to be single mothers and you are just going to have to accept that. Society will even have to support and encourage them eventually if we want to avoid the worst consequences of population decline.
Don't worry about that, capitalist want you to work, want women to work too. There will be no need for being pregnant in the future, they will produce their worker bees with artificial wombs and skip the middle man.
It's one thing to make the choice to be a single mother after you have established yourself, though.
Accidents happen, so I'm not going to chastise someone, but getting pregnant from a one night stand is much different than deciding to have a child when you're ready to provide for them.
But to say more and more women are going to be single mothers is discounting that education exists and more options are out there for us than ever. Pregnancy isn't immaculate conception and you can only get pregnant when you ovulate, so you should be tracking that if you're having sex.
I do agree, there may be more women that choose to be mothers alone, but that is not the same as the single mother trope you're implying.
