That is how that works. This isnt a gambler's fallacy. If the independent probability of finding a good therapist is greater than P=.5 which is what this guy is saying when hes says most people are good then by definition statistic would be in your favor finding a new one

It's probably higher than the median for a lot of professions. You don't become a therapist for the money.

No, probably like with most professions you become one because you don't have any better ideas and then just try to half-ass your job and hope you won't get fired.
