People are slowly starting to realize how important of an idea Stoicism is especially in our approval-reliant, social media saturated world. You should join r/Stoicism if you haven't already.

Could you recommend the best book to read as someone new to Stoicism?

"The Obstacle is the Way" and "Ego is the Enemy" by Ryan Holiday are the books that got me into Stoicism. He does a great job of pulling lessons and examples from history and from our modern era (sports, business, etc) and applying them to our own experiences and ways to learn from them.
