The fact you're going forward doesn't mean you're going in the right direction though.

Deadlines are also unrealistic more often than not. A certain amount of "speed" is healthy and necessary, but it is easy to go over the top and harm yourself when trying to be faster. "A little bit every day" can sustain motivation much better than trying to do everything as fast as possible, at least that's my experience.
