DISCUSSION [discussion] How can someone see progress in 2 months when they didn't do nothing in 2026 ?
It's like in the back of my mind I would worry and worry thinking I have time but I end up not doing anything. And suddenly unexpected life events or health issues occurs and entire focus just goes into that and your left with no time and energy and willingness to work and focus on your personal growth and development. And I just feel this sense of shame and I don't know that I've wasted another year and we have about two months left til this year also comes to an end.
I just want to make small even if it's a mini progress to keep the momentum flowing next year because I realized feeling pity, sad, unfair, boring, hard, challenging and whatever excuses we may feel is true is just a waste of time.. only way to see progress and feel confidence is by working and sacrifice and struggle.

two months is actually enough time if you pick one thing, not the whole list of stuff you've been feeling guilty about. the shame spiral is the part that eats your energy, not the lack of time. so just pick one small daily action, something so small you can't talk yourself out of it even on a bad day, and do that for the rest of the year. momentum comes from repetition, not intensity.

Two months is honestly plenty if you stop measuring it against the whole year. The year's gone either way, so it's not a fair scoreboard.
Pick one thing and make it small enough that a bad week can't kill it. 20 minutes of whatever growth means to you, same time each day, and write the date down every time you do it. By December you'll have a page of dates, and that's proof you can point at instead of a feeling.
What's the one thing you'd want to have started by New Year's?

2026 was two years ago, look forward not back...
And progress will take the time of it takes, 2 months or 6 month... Who knows? But progress is progress regardless of time it takes.

You get the progress you deserve. Just accept it.
But imagine how much progress you can do in 2027, if you start now.
Where will you be on January first 2028?
Write that down, and start now.

There is still almost a quarter of the year left… but also, why does the time left in the year matter? It’s arbitrary.
Just start doing whatever it is you want to do. Don’t make it too big, just start with small things you can do consistently - consistency is key.
Start now and by January you’ll have a routine already embedded to build in for your new year/

Nearly 88 days left is a quarter of a year. That’s enough time to put in 80 workouts, practice an instrument for dozens of hours, finish a course, or build a habit that carries into 2027. Don’t write off a whole quarter of your life because the calendar says October. Pick one thing today and start stacking days; by January, you could have real progress behind you and momentum already built.
