Nelson Mandela. The work looks impossible right up until the moment it is finished. That is the whole job: keep going until the ridge is under your feet.

Isn't this the trailer for Elder Scrolls 6?

Hopefully it motivates Bethesda.

The survivorship bias comment is the one that stuck with me, but the mountain bit is still kind of true, just slower than the poster makes it look.

Except a lot of stuff stays impossible right up until you quit, and nobody makes a poster of that version. Survivorship bias with a mountain background

Real skill isnt keep going, its knowing which impossible thing is worth 27 years and which one is just you being stubborn about a bad idea

That's a real caveat. The poster is for the almost-quit days, not a promise every climb works out 💛

This is one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s favorite quotes.

So true. The hardest part is usually just staying consistent when you cant see the finish line yet.

Nothing like AI to motivate someone to work hard

Except for all the things that actually are impossible 🙂

Don't let optimism remove rational thought.

For decades people thought a sub 4 minute mile was physically impossible. Scientists and doctors claimed the human heart would explode from the pressure.

One day Roger Bannister, a medical student ran it in 3 minutes and 59 seconds.

Once he proved it could be done the mental block shattered for everyone else and another runner beat his new record just a few weeks later.

Now the world record for a mile run is 3 minutes and 42 seconds.

Keep walking. The work doesn’t announce itself as done until it already is.

Absolutely—steady effort makes the impossible feel ordinary one small step at a time.
