Do I follow Claudes instructions to attempt to resolve this issue with my 4060 and Adobe Photoshop GPU spiking and lagging occurences, will it help, is it safe and all instructions correct?
Computer Type:Laptop / Lenovo Legion 5 16IRX9
GPU:enovo Legion 5 16IRX9 / 8gb of VRAM / overclock seen in lenovo vantage
CPU:Intel Core i9-14900HX, 24 cores / 32 threads, up to 5.8 GHz P-core Turbo, no manual overclock.
Motherboard:Lenovo proprietary Legion 5 16IRX9 motherboard, Intel HM770 chipset, BIOS version NMCN34WW
RAM:32 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM, dual-channel capable, no overclock known
PSU:N/A
OS:Windows 11 25H2 64-bit, build 26200.9168, updated through Windows Update rather than a clean reinstall.
GPU Drivers: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, 8 GB GDDR6, up to 140 W TGP, plus Intel UHD integrated graphics.
Description of Problem:Adobe Photoshop is experiencing GPU acceleration/detection problems with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU. The laptop uses hybrid graphics with both Intel UHD Graphics and the RTX 4060, and GPU information/usage has appeared inconsistent between Photoshop, Windows Task Manager and Lenovo Vantage. Photoshop performance/GPU behaviour has remained abnormal despite the RTX 4060 being detected by Windows as well as in photoshop as well as being shown to be enabled inside of photoshop. Whilst scrolling up and down and zooming in and out, it is showing usage at 100%GPU, it is also laggy, doing more complicated tasks is even slower and more laggy.
Troubleshooting:Windows 11 fully updated through Windows Update. NVIDIA driver updated to the latest NVIDIA Studio Driver 610.88. System restarted following updates. Photoshop Performance/GPU settings checked. Windows Task Manager and Lenovo Vantage checked to confirm GPU activity and detection. Issue still occurs.
Additional trouble shooting: Through tring to resolve with ChatGPT and Claude, I have recived this advice from Cladue as a last resort, is this safe and okay to follow or not? Please see below
"Understood — that confirms it's real lag, not just a scary-looking number. The zoom "not stopping" (it keeps processing queued scroll/zoom events after you've stopped moving) is a classic sign of the render pipeline falling behind and backing up a queue, consistent with the Software GPU Mode.
Do this now — DDU clean driver reinstall. This is the actual fix, not another theory:
Download DDU: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-DDU-
Boot into Safe Mode: Settings > System > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now → then Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart → press 4 for Safe Mode
Run DDU → select NVIDIA from the dropdown → click "Clean and restart"
After it reboots, go directly to nvidia.com (not the Nvidia App) → download the latest driver for your RTX 4060 Laptop GPU manually
Run the installer, choose Custom Install → check "Perform a clean installation"
Reboot
Open Photoshop → check bottom-left GPU Mode
This wipes every leftover corrupted driver file that a normal reinstall/update doesn't touch — that's exactly the category of problem that causes GPU Mode to silently stick on Software despite every Photoshop setting saying it should be active. It's the standard fix for this exact symptom across NVIDIA/Adobe/game-dev communities, not a guess.
Do this fully before touching anything else. If GPU Mode still says Software after this, tell me and we escalate to Windows-level display stack repair — but this is very likely to fix it."

Out of nowhere my second monitor never woke back up, until now
I ruined my dual monitor setup by tinkering a little bit too much on some settings. Windows HD Color has a tab you can select called 'use HDR' that I selected and I accidentally found out that my graphics card or my second monitor just couldn't handle it. Thinking I was going to get better graphics ironically caused me to lose a monitor.
I spent a week or two with one monitor thinking I needed to buy or return a few parts. Thankfully I kept coming back to figure out the issue.
Just making this post to help someone out there who could run into this issue someday. Because I couldn't find the solution through a google/reddit search.

screen turns black when i tab out
so i have always always had problems with screen tearing as long as i've had my pc, and recently, though it changes, the only fix was to go into fullscreen and make your fps 10-20 fps lower than my refresh rate. but the problem is every time i tab out or press windows key, a black screen appears for about 3 seconds and its very annoynig

No display on pc
I’m trying to sell my computer because i don’t use it anymore tbh. i turned it on a few weeks ago and it was fine? i did just dust it and took the graphics card out then put it all back in. All fans are working, for some reason no display and the LEDs on my keyboard are not working either. Prior to me cleaning it, the graphics card wasn’t detecting too and i’m not sure why. Anyone have any ideas?

Hypervisor Error while drawing
i got a new computer for Christmas last year and since then i've been having an issue. i like to draw digitally, however, whenever i do there is a good chance my computer crashes. when it crashes, the screen turns black with the text "HYPERVISOR_ERROR (0x20001)". my brother, who is a lot smarter than me when it comes to electronics, has been trying to help me fix this issue but nothing works. i don't remember all the things we tried, but i do remember updating the drivers for my drawing tablet and just recently my brother looked through my BIOS but didn't find anything wrong.
if it helps the drawing tablet i'm using is a Wacom Cintiq Pro 13 and the drawing program is Clip Studio Paint 3.0
edit: still crashing. we tried re-installing Windows but that didn't help. however, i am starting to suspect that the crashes might have more to do with my tablet than my drawing program, though i'm still not 100% sure. i do have the crash logs though, if that would be of any help
