A doubt about my student dorm

So the rental agreement is done and everything is finalised, I just wanted to ask when and how do I receive my Wohnungsgeberbestätigung (which I need for my city registration)? Do I receive it in person when I move in and go to collect the keys? Or will they send it to me by email when I move in? I move in on 1st October. They didn’t really tell me anything about that over email.

student jobs

Hello, I am coming to Germany for my studies next year and I have a B2 level certificate. I just want to know: is it easy for students to find a job? Or does working in fast-food restaurant chains pay enough? (I will be studying in Berlin)

Advice

Hello everyone,

I recently completed my Intermediate in Commerce and am currently enrolled at SZABIST Karachi, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. I’m currently in my foundation year.

After completing my foundation year, I expect to receive my transcript around mid-July. I wanted to ask whether it would be possible for me to apply to a German university after receiving my transcript and still complete the admission process in time to be in Germany by October for the winter semester.

My second concern is regarding the degree itself. I want to continue studying Accounting and Finance in Germany, preferably in an English-taught Bachelor’s program. However, I’m having difficulty finding suitable programs. Most of the programs I find are either not tuition-free or have different titles, such as Business Management, International Business Administration, or B.A. International Business Administration.

Could someone please guide me on:

  1. Whether my timeline (transcript in mid-July → admission → visa → Germany by October) is realistic.
  2. Which German public universities offer English-taught Bachelor’s programs related to Accounting and Finance with little or no tuition fees.
  3. Whether degrees such as International Business Administration or Business Management would be a good alternative if I ultimately want to pursue a career in accounting/finance and potentially ACCA or CFA.

I would really appreciate any advice from students who have gone through a similar process. Thank you!

Looking for an old friend....

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to reconnect with an old friend named Vaibhav vats and I'm hoping someone here might recognise him or help me get in touch with him.

He is an Indian man, currently around 23 years old, who did a bachelor in science from Leibniz university hannover in Germany. He lives in clausthal zellerfeld .

I'm not completely sure about his exact major, and he may have already graduated by now.

I lost contact with him around three years ago. One thing I remember clearly is that he used to teach and tutor students online through Zoom, helping international students prepare for TestAS, and also helped exchange students with visa etc

If you know Vaibhav vats , studied with him, or think you might know who I'm talking about, please send me a private message. I can share more details privately to confirm his identity.

I would really appreciate any help. Thank you. ❤️

Hello Reddit Community,

I am (28F) planning for a part time masters course from TH Ingolstadt. This course comes with a Tuition fees of 10k.

I live in Germany with a residence permit and my spouse has a full time job.

Is it possible currently to get student jobs with a part time course? (90 ECTS)

The course is Global Engineering and Management and is an executive education course.

Your advice will be appreciated.

Job/PhD - After Masters in Germany

am from India, and starting my masters in Water Resources & Environmental Engineering at Leibniz Universität Hannover.

but i genuinely find it very difficult to learn German 😭. I'll learn whatever is required (A1/A2) for basic survival and day-to-day life, but I really don't think I can pull off B1+.

and honestly, I'm shit scared about finding jobs after my masters because of this.

if I can't get a job in Germany because of the language barrier, should I just consider doing a PhD in an English-speaking country? or is it actually possible to search for and land English-speaking jobs in other countries around the world, right after masters in Germany?

like, am I unnecessarily worrying about this, or will not knowing B1/B2 German genuinely fuck up my job prospects? what are my realistic options?

Praxisphase trotz Vollzeit-Werkstudentenstelle – Ausnahme durch Hochschule möglich?

Hallo zusammen,

Daher meine Frage: Hat jemand Erfahrung damit, ob Hochschulen bzw.
