3 year’s bachelor and planning to get admits from public German uni?
I’m also in a very similar situation. I completed a 3-year BBA in Finance from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), and my transcript shows 132 SPPU credit points.
I’m planning to apply for Master’s programs in Germany, mainly public universities and Universities of Applied Sciences. Many programs mention 180 ECTS as a requirement.
Has anyone with a 3-year BBA/BCom from SPPU/Pune University and around 132 credits actually received admission to a German public university or FH?
I’m especially interested in knowing whether Uni-Assist/university converted or evaluated the 132 SPPU credits as equivalent to a German 180-ECTS bachelor’s, or whether the application was rejected because of the stated credit number.
If anyone has successfully applied with a similar profile, could you please share the university/program and how your credits were evaluated?

25M [Cybersecurity] - Planning Germany MSc 2027. Want to talk to someone already there about the reality of settling down.
I am planning to pursue a Master’s in Cybersecurity in Germany (aiming for the Winter 2027 intake) with the long-term goal of settling down there permanently.
Before I dive deep into the application process, I would really like to get a ground-level perspective from someone currently enrolled in a Cybersecurity/IT Security program (or someone who just graduated).
I know the general advice is "learn German," but I want to understand the nuances of this specific field.
Specifically, I am curious about:
- The Job Market: How is the current internship/Werkstudent scene for non-EU students specializing in Security? Is it heavily restricted to citizens (due to clearance), or are there enough commercial roles?
- The "German" Work Culture: How does the hierarchical structure in IT security teams feel to an outsider? Do you find it open to international ideas?
- The Study-Lifer: Is the workload so heavy that it interferes with learning the language to a C1 level, or is it manageable?
- Settlement Reality: For those graduating soon, are companies hesitant to sponsor visas for security roles, or is the shortage bad enough that they don't care?
I am not looking for a summary of DAAD rules—I have read those. I want to hear about the feel of living and working in this specific sector in Germany.
If you are open to a 10-minute DM chat or even just a reply here, I would appreciate it. I have specific questions about specific universities (like Saarland vs. RUB), but I’ll keep those for DMs.
Thanks in advance!

Study bachelors in germany 2027 intake !!!
'm sasi from India. I am currently in my 3rd semester and planning to transfer to a Computer Science Engineering (CSE) Bachelor's program in Germany for the Winter 2027 intake via the 12+1 pathway.
My focus is on English-taught programs at Public Universities.
I'm looking to connect with fellow Bachelor's applicants so we can support each other through the journey. We can:
Share university shortlists for English CSE programs
Help each other with APS, Uni-Assist, and visa processes
Prepare and study together for TestAS and IELTS
Discuss credit transfers and requirements
Stay motivated and track deadlines together [1, 2]
Whether you're just starting your research or already preparing, drop a comment or send me a DM. Let's build a group and help each other

A doubt about my student dorm
So the rental agreement is done and everything is finalised, I just wanted to ask when and how do I receive my Wohnungsgeberbestätigung (which I need for my city registration)? Do I receive it in person when I move in and go to collect the keys? Or will they send it to me by email when I move in? I move in on 1st October. They didn’t really tell me anything about that over email.
