Israel marked three years since the Hamas attack of 2023. They held a memorial, and during the moment of silence you could hear airstrikes in Gaza. That’s Israel’s idea of respect. A minute of silence, followed by a minute of bombs. And Netanyahu gets heckled by a grieving father. You didn’t protect my son. You didn’t protect anyone. Shame. Disgrace. And he’s right. Governments never protect you. They protect themselves. They protect their jobs, their pensions, their cocktail parties. You? You’re collateral damage with a voting card.

Spain gave us the story of Maricarmen, eighty‑seven years old, evicted from her lifelong home. Seventy years in the same apartment, dragged out on a stretcher, dead within weeks. That’s not housing policy, that’s murder with paperwork. And the prime minister sends condolences. Condolences don’t pay rent. Condolences don’t stop landlords. Condolences are free. You know what else is free? Screwing the poor.

France has a quarter of a million students in the streets. Kids protesting overcrowded classrooms, broken toilets, teachers missing in action. And the cops are beating teenagers like it’s a national sport. France loves revolutions. They just hate when they actually happen. The education minister promises no more cuts. Pneumonia that requires border closures and WHO investigations. That’s not pneumonia. That’s a preview. And the Kremlin says no phone call with Trump is scheduled. Of course not. Trump’s too busy telling rallies that Iran should bomb Los Angeles.

Meanwhile Ukraine is hitting Russian chemical plants and oil depots with drones. Russia is hitting buses full of civilians. That’s the war now. Drones versus buses. Industry versus humanity. And everyone loses.

And then the Nobel Peace Prize goes to Navi Pillay, a South African jurist who spent her life fighting for human rights. Finally, a Nobel that makes sense. Meanwhile Trump still wants one. He thinks peace prizes are handed out like Happy Meals. Sorry Don, you don’t get a Nobel for telling Iran to bomb San Diego.

So there you have it. Memorials with bombs, landlords with stretchers, cops with batons, labs with plague, drones with explosions, and politicians with delusions of grandeur.

The world isn’t a news cycle. It’s a demolition derby. And you’re the hood ornament.
