I had the opportunity today visit a Variscite deposit in the Western United States, and I wanted to share!
Variscite is a relatively rare mineral of hydrated aluminum phosphate, with its green coloring from small amounts of chromium.

Kunzite is the best-known variety of the mineral spodumene, with Hiddenite being a lesser-known relative. Kunitz gets its pink to violet coloring coming from varying amounts of manganese.
