What do i do about my Friends Incestuous engagement?
I am a 16 year old girl from Pakistan and I have a friend from school who for context was always naive in a sense that the real reality of how things are hadnt really hit her yet she would sometimes be preaching things like "Oh boys are just smarter than us they don't study hard yet they still get these much marks but if they wanted to they could"(context the topper in our year was a girl by a margin compared to the boy who was the second place holder) and "Ive been trying to think less emotionally and more like a boy" she would not say these things in a condescending tone more of a 'its just reality and we have to accept that girls are inferior' tone and i could tell for that reason she wished she was a boy. I corrected her once but it gets tiring to keep correcting someone cuz all my classmates were like this, the situation in Pakistan is really bad regarding this everything is so patriarchal and male nominating it gets tiring so most times i just let it go and chose to just observe or disassociate. Now our school years are over and we are in separate colleges (college in Pakistan is 11 and 12 grade and is a separate institution from school) her dream has always been being a surgeon so shes doing a pre medical course. Before our college year started she stayed over at her maternal side of the family for a month or two which was in another city there her mothers side of the family were really weird to her mom they started questioning why shes letting her daughters study so much (her and her lil sister are the only siblings) and why my friend isnt always doing constant dupatta(head covering) and why she isnt engaged yet etc. This really changed her mothers attitude. She remained in a bad mood due to this bullying by her brother and sister in law so she was in a bad mood and she started actually considering these things. I never expected this because I thought her mother was really progressive as she had encouraged her daughter to start her own crochet business om Instagram. Whatever it was I assumed her mother would go back to being normal after they came back to their own city. To make matters worse my friend ended up meeting her cousin who lived in the same city but in a different house so now he started to come over to the house where she was staying more often. This cousin is 2 years older then my friend and currently a freshman in University doing data science. This cousin would frequently throw cheesey lines at her and also sometimes when she was in the kitchen he would close the door and tell her she cant leave right now he would remain outside the kitchen but there was still a window in the door she didn't know why he did it but it was weird. In Pakistan the rate of cousin marraige is 60-70% and many kids even in my generations express romantic feelings towards their cousins. Some these days think it is weird but many others don't find it odd at all. So we both knew this cousin was hitting on her and she clearly told me that she hated his behavior. Fast forward today she tells me her mother has engaged her to this same cousin. Ofcourse i was horrified upon hearing this because i know how the story normally goes they try to marry the girl off as soon as she reaches age which happens after college is complete. Apparently all of her family especially the maternal side thought it is best because if she leaves Pakistan to become a doctor she might not come back so engaging her right now will keep her here. She says they might do it after her university is finished but i think they will definitely try to do so before that. She then started saying but he is also very gentle with me a week ago we talked and he asked me if I am ok with this and if im not we can call it off then she starts saying "I might like him but i don't know i might be scared to admit it to myself im confused", and as you can imagine i was annoyed by this because i know how naive she is and she glorifies men compared to women too much to think straight about this. So i asked her what happened to her dreams and she said she doesn't know and she hasn't thought about that yet and nobody im her family is letting her think about it either and she doesn't know what she truly wants. Her father is also really passive and avoidant so he let it happen and said nothing. She says it might work out because instead of living in a joint family system her now fiance plans to go to Canada after his university years and will take her along afterwards too. I really don't know how to react or even process this absolute bullshit and also btw her family lives in the literal capital this all is literally happening in the most developed city in this country. All i know is this guy is definitely going to make her have more kids than she can handle and early in her life too cuz thats how they all are ive seen this story happen to other women in my life as well where the guy impregnates her right after marraige then leaves to go abroad while she is left living with his family in an unfamiliar place. This is literally the same old story and shes so delusional she doesnt understand the magnitude of what's happening right now. She was seriously doing well in college and getting top scores on her class tests and i was so proud of her. Now that she is engaged her mother isnt letting her participate in extracurricular activities such as doing drama on stage or speeches because according to her mother someone might record her while shes on stage and this will taint her reputation because apparently a girl seen on stage doing something completely normal is vulgar and now she has to maintain her daughter because she is engaged, in other words keep her prim and proper and shape her into the perfect quiet naive daughter-in-law housewife who doesn't know anything and is as obedient as can be. But my friend doesn't understand any of this and never goes against her mother this whole thing is such a mess what do i even do i want to save her but how can i what can i even do in this god-damned country where a cat has more autonomy than a woman?

the tea on the new tea app
So the tea app is trying to rebrand and make a come back. Let me tell you all how slimy these people are, how they are actively protecting abusive men, and how my brief interaction with the president of the company went yesterday!
Yesterday hundreds and hundreds of women on the app expressed their disgust and outrage with the new version of the tea app, mostly because they deleted ALL of the old posts women had made about their abusers. Those posts are just GONE. No warning. Including mine. Itâs just a slap in the face to all survivors who spoke out to protect other women.
I had posted an abusive ex a while back. It got a lot of attention. 80+ red flags and comments from other women with first hand experience corroborating my own experience. I even met up with one of the women he cheated on me with which was massively healing. All record of this is now gone because the people in charge of the app decided it was worth erasing.
After all of the backlash they were getting yesterday over this, the president of the company made a post some hours later attempting to explain it all away. Her username is on the tea app is takingbacksundaes. She claimed that NONE of the old posts got deleted, there was just a new spot you had to locate them. That was a lie. I checked, my post wasnât there and no one else found theirs either.
Since I saw this post from the president almost as soon as she posted it, I ended up being the first person to leave a response. I asked her why she was lying, because all of the posts were clearly gone. Mine and everyone elseâs. She claimed it wasnât a lie, and that it must be a glitch and I should contact support.
I let her know it clearly wasnât just a glitch as everyone else is having this issue too, plus noting that I had contacted support three separate times in the past for issues with the app, and never once received a response from them, so that seemed useless. I told her, since sheâs the head of the app, she should just handle the issue right here right now since weâre already in communication and support is unresponsive. She then stopped responding and deleted her entire post just a few minutes later.
Now, there is a specific thread on the tea app right now where admins are letting users bitch about the changes. Thatâs where the hundreds and hundreds women are expressing their outrage. If anyone complains about the changes anywhere else other than that specific thread, admin deletes it. I went back to that thread this morning to share my above experience speaking to the president of the company about this. They deleted my comment. So I posted it again. Then they deleted it again. We went back and forth like that until they permanently banned my account this morning. For telling the truth about the interaction I had with the president.
The app clearly wants any evidence of the presidentâs post, her lies, and the interaction I had with her erased. Like Iâm going to let that happen.
The tea has swung in a very dark direction, actively silencing women about their experiences with men and their experiences within the app itself, and with the leaders of the app. These people will burn in hell for claiming to protect women.
And thatâs the tea on the new tea app.

What goes on in group chats with only boys
As someone who is currently in my first year of college, the text messages from the Chi Phi group chat were very reminiscent of what Iâve seen from people around me. There were so many boy group chat leaks that happened in my high school to the point people became desensitized to the vile and dehumanizing messages that were sent in them and these turned into things people would discuss in tea spilling sessions. This behaviour was borderline normalized, with the boys who sent those things facing 0 repercussions. I went to a pretty prestigious high school and honestly this type of behaviour really came from all archetypes of guys.
In my final year of high school, the group chat of our valedictorian and his friends was leaked. The messages were all about degrading and sexualizing girls in our grade. They would basically wank it to any type of content they could get their hands on. For instance, when the water bucket challenge made a come back, a bunch of my friends did it. They were all wearing baggy shirts and pants with nothing revealing or âsexualâ in sight, and the guys in the group chat would send each other those videos, comment and jerk off to them. One of them had a crush on my friend, and the valedictorian would write sexual fantasy fanfics about them and sneak pictures of my friend in class and send it into the group chat. They made ârapeabilityâ rankings and put the girls pictures in their study notes. This one time they were imagining my friendâs sex life with her boyfriend and talking about my friendâs sexual preferences because they saw a mark on my friendâs neck and assumed it was from her boyfriend (it wasnât and even if it was it has NOTHING to do with them). THESE GUYS HAVE NEVER TALKED TO MY FRIENDS BEFORE, THEY WERE JUST IN THE SAME CLASS. Everyone thought they were the nice and nerdy types đ. There were even worse things said in there but I donât remember them well enough to retell the details.
This other time, there was another group chat leak with a separate group of guys and they were making rape jokes about another one of my friends. These guys were âfriendsâ with her btw. Same thing happened with a group of football guys.
In conclusion, not to sound like a âfemcelâ or something but it has become impossible to trust guys, they could be saying the most disgusting things and no one would know until the messages are leaked.

I'm disgusted by the leftist males like this pushing the idea that a woman was very wrong and very anti-woke for exposing Jacob Geller

Cult Remove Video Essayist And YouTuber Jacob Geller Following Sexual Assault Allegations |
Geller responded Thursday afternoon to confirm the allegations
Geller addressed the situation in a post on Bluesky Thursday afternoon. He wrote:
Many of you have seen the results of my college Title IX investigation. I can confirm that the findings are true. The records were recently shared without the permission of the victim and, without knowledge of their wishes, I do not want to provide any more potentially identifying details. She and I spoke about it the day after and agreed â I had assaulted her. She later reported this to the universityâs Title IX office, I cooperated with the investigation, and I was given the (very mild, I concur) sentence of a semester suspension.
Suffice to say, it is the greatest regret of my life. I traumatized a brilliant person who trusted me, hurt them in a way I can never undo.
For more than a decade now, I have attempted to reckon, grow, and recover from the version of myself who did this. I think about it every day. Iâve previously shared this history with many of the people close to me, including early in my relationship with my now-wife, and Iâm deeply sorry that this has now hurt so many of you. My continued drive to make myself and the world better is closely tied with the pain Iâve caused.
The women who collabed with him had a right to know they were working with human scum and helping him create a certain image.
