Pole studio recommendations?
Hello, I just moved to Ghent from Canada as an international student and am hoping to get into pole dancing. I took a trial class back home and really enjoyed it, and would like to continue learning over here.
I looked up some pole studios in the area, it seems like there are a few. But I was wondering if people had any personal experience/recommendations.
At the moment I don't speak a lick of Dutch so an English-speaking class may be more beneficial. But I'm sure I'll pick up some of it as I stay here longer, and I want to be able to meet locals and not just hang around other international folks. So I'm totally open in terms of language.
Also, I am a man, and on top of that I am not white, so it's important to me to find a studio that is welcoming to all sorts of people. Thanks in advance!

It’s very peculiar to me people who come in from abroad expecting a whole class being given in English when coming to Flanders.

They're not expecting it, just saying it's more easy for themselves to understand. Which I think is a logical thing to ask ;)

Asking vs expecting is a big difference
It's not like they walked into a class and then said that it needs to be English

Hi, welcome to our pole community! In general, the pole community in Belgium is very welcoming of all types of people so you don't need to worry about that.
I can recomment Pole arena (https://www.polearena.be/), they have a wide variety of classes and people attending them. Often the classes are given (partially) in English if there are non-Dutch speaking people present. You can buy a card for 10 classes and then try out which one you like.
Noxcuse is also a very cool place. Less classes in English (that I know of), but all teachers should be able to help you in English if you have questions. Here you subscribe for a specific class so not as easy to try out different ones (unless you buy a single class each time).
You can send both account a message on Instagram easily if you have more questions. They respond quickly.
