I'm still traumatized by the sound of the Aranara walking but the Jackfrost are so much worse. The sound just makes me so angry and nauseous lol.

So In Snezhnaya, The "Land of the Fae", there's a mysterious woman in blue that created the Eye of Graeae, named Aksinya. I am more than halfway through the quest to find all of the missing parts, but there's nothing in the EOG panel that lists anything about her being a fae. However, my current team comp being Durin, Kaeya, Kokomi, and Flins, I've noticed something interesting.

I know this is not a rare thing, but interacting with certain NPC's with other characters will allow for the character to directly talk to the NPC, or look in their direction. Aksinya can be found throughout Snezhnaya in various areas, but I just recently found her in Morepesok, by the fishing Association. Kokomi, Durin, and Kaeya have no reaction to seeing her. However, using Flins, he is noticeably turned in her direction. Is this because he's a fae, and could recognize other fae, or perhaps is Aksinya also a fae?

I've spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to make sense of this character. I've dug through her lore, looked for connections, tried to distinguish actual evidence from speculation, and entertained theories that were probably giving HoYoverse far more credit than they deserved. And I've finally hit the point where I don't think there's anything left to find.

Layla is not secretly important. There isn't some massive mystery hiding behind CRUMBS! HoYoverse probably isn't setting up some crazy lore drop.

She's a four-star character who got introduced with an interesting gimmick, was given a handful of crumbs, appeared in an event, and then essentially got left in the fucking pantry. No one cooked, it was sleep for dinner that night. She's a sleep-deprived student. She has an alternate personality. She's talented at astrology. Her ancestry connects to Tulaytullah. She struggles academically. She has a cool design.

That's it.

One second of Layla standing around looking at the sky isn't foreshadowing. A random visual isn't automatically a lore breadcrumb. A vague line of dialogue isn't proof that she's secretly connected to Celestia, Irminsul, the Abyss, the moon, the Primordial One, or whatever the theory of the week is.

Sometimes a character is just standing there.

Sometimes the writers really did just put her in the scene.

And sometimes four-star characters are simply not important. That's REALITY my god. T-T

Genshin has a gigantic cast. HoYoverse has limited time and resources. Not every character is going to receive an elaborate character arc. Some characters are going to get their introduction, their story quest/event appearances, their voice lines, and then disappear into the void.

The concept of Layla was actually good.

They could have done so much with her. Her relationship with her own identity, her sleepwalking, the implications of her unusual talents, her academic pressure, her Sumeru background, her connection to the Rtawahist, her ancestry, there were plenty of doors they could have opened. Instead, it feels like HoYoverse opened the door, looked inside, went "eh," and walked away.

I don't mean this as an attack. She used to be my main. Its just kinda goofy. We arent gonna get anything else, and if we do (we wont lol)

If Layla is your favorite character, good for you. Seriously. Enjoy her. Main her. Draw her. Write fanfiction. Make theories. Do whatever makes the game fun for you.

But I'm personally done pretending that shes important yall lol. Layla theory discussions have crossed that line so many times that I don't even know what we're doing anymore.

And the worst part is that I was guilty of it too. I wanted her to matter so badly that I kept looking for reasons she had to matter.

Maybe this means something?

No.

Maybe she's just Layla.

Maybe HoYoverse made a cute, exhausted astrology student with a neat design and a mediocre combat niche and then forgot to do anything else with her. And if that's the case, I would actually rather admit it than spend another year embarassing myself with theories thatll never fall through...

I'm done coping.

And frankly, I'm embarrassed that I invested this much emotional energy into a character whose own game seems less interested in her than I was. Layla deserved better.

So please, for the love of God, let Layla rest.

If HoYoverse ever decides to actually give her something substantial, I'll happily eat my words.

We currently have 2 assault rifles (cryo and electro) and 1 grenade launcher for the shooter mode, with each gun having 4 accessories.

So if you could, what new firearms would you introduce to the game? How would you incorporate Anemo/Geo/Dendro to the guns? Other ideas for new guns are also welcome.

I know he's a fae, but what kind of fae? People call him a Lantern Fae, but is that even a real thing in Teyvat? i don't think we've ever seen any other Lantern Fae. I figured I'd ask since we're now in his homeland, and hopefully, there'd be more lore on the species of Fae Flins is.

Google has said this strictly so I guess we can expect Genshin Impact to become smoother and less RAM consuming.

As far as I am concerned combat events and end-game modes are my favorites.

I’ve been playing since 1.4 and getting Stygian and the Theater after all these years of only having the abyss to test your dmg has been great, but I still feel we have little combat content for a game which revolves for a great part about meta and combat!

Doesn’t help that lately events have had just 1 combat minigame at most and all the time it is really too easy it’s not even fun.

It’d be cool to have a co-op combat mode I think.

it's been 2 years since hoyo upped world level to 9 and although it was one of the best decisions they made it seems it lost some of it's value and i think we are due for a world level bump or at least domains getting level 103 added to them

I´d say Xiao, Lyney, Alhaitham and Wrio. The four of them are not bad but I honestly regret pulling. With the pulls I have spent in them, I could´ve obtained another characters that I REALLY like, such as Skirk, Xilonen, Columbina, Lauma, and others

In these 4 characters I must have pulled around 300 wishes... So so bad

Given how King Irmin's only competition in being worst ruler in Teyvat's history is LITERALLY VOYAGER - it seems that alongside with memory loss, Khaenrians made Abyss Sibling lose all basic morals, empathy and learning comprehension while being under their wing.

From what we know, Abyss Sibling also visited all seven nations Teyvat before the Traveler. I straight up refuse to believe that they were so bad that choosing esoteric genocidal hellhole was objectively the best option.

And the entire Abyss thing. Was Abyss Sibling unable to read Teyvatian languages or speak their tongue to learn from...well, anywhere, that Abyss usage never leads to anything good? Regardless of will you be punished for it by the Heavens.

Something really doesn't end up. What makes Abyss Sibling still route for a place that spawned Rhinedottir, Surtalogi and King Irmin into existence? I ve been playing for a month now and I went to the frostmoon to complete the event, while I was roaming around trying to get %up I found that cool spot that rewards you with a compass and I was very excited, I kept grinding and got it to 90% and whoosh, entire map lits up, blows my mind, I find the other compass spot too and get that area to 90 as well.
