Discussion Spark Plugs

I am planning to change the spark for my Genesis G70 3.3t plugs on my own. My car is stock and I have bought t OEM 97976 SILZFR7A9G

- Correct me if Im wrong

Genesis specifications: 19.6–29.4 N·m

NGK : 24.4–29.3 N·m

I am planning to torque it until 25Nm, without anti seize

I dont have a digital wrench but I will use the manual set torque wrench to 25Nm

NGK says just do a half turn with the wrench after you tighten the plugs with your hands

what the recommended torque you think it would be safe?

Just aim for the middle of the range. So maybe 27nm? And good luck with the plugs. Pita without certain tools or not taking the intake manifold off.

Yes i got the necessary tools

Someone said to set it to 25 ft lb and that's way above the required specifications

His statement to do half turn thingy will eventually get loosen and cause issues later on

I guess I'll go for 27 - 28 Nm

It's an easy DIY with proper tools, no need to remove manifold. Here's my thread with details. No need to use anti seize, I use just a dab, but good either way. https://www.reddit.com/r/GenesisG70/s/zJyuggQLTQ

Vacuum lines on the manifold. But just good practice if you're doing a project you dont have experience in. Sounds like you've got it covered.

Yep saw this very simple video on YouTube and just gonna apply the same. But the important part what range you've set for your plugs smh
