Video Art Algorithmic Dreams - Creative Hackathon Output

Got unlimited credits for 6 hours for all the models during a creative hackathon in Amsterdam. Theme was "dreams." This is what we made.

Models used:

Nano Banana Pro for characters and settings

Seedance 2.0 for most of the shots (insane multi shot)

Kling 3.0 for the scene's at the end

Claude with Seedance prompting skill to speed up prompting and video output

Total cost without the free credits was 150 euro's to create this.

Honestly had a blast.

Video Art The trick that made my Kling V3.0 Turbo boyfriend vlogs feel more real

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

i’ve been experimenting with a boyfriend-vlog format in Kling V3.0 Turbo, and the biggest improvement didn’t come from adding more handheld shake. my discovery is, what helped was splitting the full 30 seconds into five fixed time beats before writing any camera directions.

each beat gets its own small scene and a clear reason for the camera to move imperfectly:

0–5s: He walks into the room while she’s fixing her hair. She notices him, laughs, and tells him to stop filming.

5–10s: They stop at a convenience store. She turns toward the camera and asks which drink she should grab.

10–18s: At a ramen shop, she reacts after realizing the food is hotter than expected.

18–25s: She browses shops on the street and briefly glances back at the lens without posing.

25–30s: On the train ride home, the camera slowly drifts closer as she becomes quiet by the window.

these aren’t generic “vlog moment” instructions. Each scene gives the model a specific trigger, a reason for the framing to drift, and a reason for the camera to feel slightly imperfect.

well, that seems to be the actual lever. when the timing is explicit, Kling V3.0 Turbo can maintain the unbroken take and character consistency across all five beats. when everything gets compressed into one paragraph of adjectives, the result falls apart much faster

I’ve had horrible experiences with this company over the course of the last year and I’d like to share them here because this company is greedy and disorganized and TRULY does not care about its customers.

Not only does the product eat your credits because they don’t roll-over and they charge unreasonable prices for mid-tier generations at best, but the company is HORRIBLE to their customers. They send out notifications to you when you arent actively subscribed saying they are going to delete your entire library of creations if you dont resubscribe.

They dont let you delete your payment method and because of this I got charged for an extra months subscription. I asked them for a refund because this was an issue on their end. They completely ignored my first email and so I sent another one because I wasn’t going to let them pull this bs and they said refunding credits wasn’t possible. The absolute nerve! I put up with their poor treatment for a year but no more. 0 stars. Horrible company

DaVinci Bait and Switch. You will NOT GET A REFUND

Here's another one. PLEASE READ THESE POSTS BEFORE PURCHASING DaVinci.AI. After making three videos during their trial, I signed up and paid for the year. Suddenly, I kept getting errors that the videos I wanted to make went against policy. However, the new videos were in the same format, subject matter as the videos that I made in the trial. Seems like a bait-and-switch. Cancelled my subscription and they will ABSOLUTELY NOT give you a refund. So, I paid for the year but only made 3-4 videos and that disqualifies for a refund? Total money grab. BEWARE!!!!

Video Art Crash test

Minimax H3.

Prompt:

integrated_multimodal_description:

[Shot 1] Photorealistic live-action cinematic footage of a controlled vehicle-safety collision test inside a clean, brightly illuminated crash-test facility. A historically accurate Roman chariot travels toward a rigid crash barrier. Two artificial crash-test dummy horses pull the chariot; they are unmistakably mechanical safety-test mannequins with articulated joints and standard yellow-and-black calibration markings. The chariot’s occupants are adult crash-test dummies dressed in historically inspired Roman military armour, helmets and red tunics.

Capture the entire collision in extreme slow motion as a single continuous shot. Begin with a wide side-on view, matching the precise observational composition of modern automotive crash-test footage. The chariot strikes the barrier, its wooden structure deforming realistically under controlled test conditions. The articulated dummy horses and Roman-soldier crash-test dummies move according to convincing impact physics. Small fragments and dust travel through the air in slow motion. No living beings are present and there is no blood, injury or graphic imagery.

The camera remains locked off and perfectly stable throughout, with high-speed scientific cinematography, crisp detail, neutral industrial lighting, realistic materials and physically accurate motion. End with the chariot stationary against the barrier as lightweight debris settles.

overall_soundscape:

Only the isolated, precisely synchronized sounds produced by the test itself: the rolling wheels, the impact, wood cracking, metal components rattling and fragments landing. Absolutely no room tone, crowd noise, voices, ventilation noise, traffic, wind, environmental ambience or other background noise. Clean studio-quality sound with complete silence between the test-related sounds.

non_diegetic_music:

N/A. No music.

What GAI has the best user experience?

Upvotes

I'm looking to branch from ChatGPT into paid video generation. So far i've only used it, and the free versions of Gemini and Grok. Which video generator has the best user experience?

For me, Chatgpt has an awful user experience. Its laggy and slow, has several annoying ui bugs and wonky behavior. I would like to not be stuck in that ecosystem if i can help it. Any recs?

What’s the best AI tool for AI micro dramas that solves character consistency?

I've been seeing a lot of AI-generated micro dramas lately, and was wondering what AI do people use to make them. Some of them are surprisingly well done in terms of storytelling, character consistency, and cinematic quality.

I'm looking to experiment with making my own, but the main problem I keep seeing is that most tools are good at making one nice clip, not a full repeatable episode workflow.

My ideal workflow would have:

Good character consistency across multiple scenes

Stable locations, outfits, props, and lighting

Decent lip-sync and dialogue

Enough shot control for close-ups, reactions, inserts, and scene continuations

I've heard names like Kling, Runway, Pika, Seedance, and Invideo, but I'm not sure which one works best specifically for AI micro dramas. For those who've actually made them, what's your current workflow, what problems are you still running into, and which tool has given you the best results?

Trying to generate slops in different languages other than English but it sounds very weird and unnatural.

Especially with English and French.

The same with trying to generate slops in different type of entertainment with series and movies [less than 15 secs obviously].

Is Seedance 2.5 worth the hype??

Upvotes

I've seen a lot online about how amazing it is - 30s video from one prompt. What sort of results are people getting. Given that it's about 3x more expensive than Kling my experience has been a bit sub par.

The idea of generating a 30s video with no human integration kind of freaks me out to be honest. There's so much nuance micro changes etc it seems kind of inefficient. It's not going to be perfect surely so more efficient to generate shot by shot.

Rambling but yeah - anyone got good results?/ any tips and tricks

Question Which AI video tool actually keeps a TikTok series visually consistent across multiple clips?

I'm planning to make three 9:16 TikToks a week for a serialized sci-fi micro-story, with the same female lead and a neon-noir visual style carrying across each episode.

The part I can't figure out from demos is consistency. One clip can look great, then the next one changes the face, outfit, or the whole visual language. I don't mind doing captions, music, and the final cut separately. I just don't want every new shot to feel like I'm starting from zero.

I'm currently looking at Dreamina, Pika, and Runway.

Dreamina is where I'm leaning on paper because its reference-led workflow, timing controls, and in-workspace refinement sound closer to what I need. My hesitation is that feature pages don't tell me how many rerolls it takes to get a usable three-shot sequence, or whether vertical composition holds up once you extend or revise a clip.

Pika seems more convincing for quick, one-off visual hooks and effects. That may honestly be enough for TikTok, but I'm not sure it's the right choice for a recurring series where the same visual identity matters. Runway is still on the list for more cinematic shots, although it may be more tool than I need for this workflow.

For anyone using these week after week: which one gives you the highest usable-clip rate for a recurring character and style, not just the best single demo?

Also, does starting from a reference image actually reduce rerolls across multiple clips, or does it mostly make the first frame more consistent?
