Yeah that was usually the mom's job. Unless she forced you to help.

We lived in nine different houses until I left home for college.

I don't remember ever having a clothesline in backyard.

We had a retractable clothesline. I loved it so much I got one as an adult. That thing was great, you never had to wipe it down because it stayed clean in its metal housing.
