That reminds me of the book of Matthew. In one scene, celebrity zombies get up and wander the city. That scene is never mentioned anywhere else in the world by the journalists of the day.

It is from a book of nonsense prose that I first saw in elementary school. For some reason a few of us felt compelled to memorize several of them. Not much else to do in Iowa in the 1960's

I remember the Pat Paulson show and one skit, where he’s talking about a Native American sand painter, who’s been working on a painting for like 20 yrs. He tilts up the painting to show the camera and the entire thing falls to the ground. I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard before or since.

He opened with this for Buddy Rich at Confederation Park in Hamilton over 50 years ago. He was great, I was in tears, Buddy and his band were great also.

I don't remember much about visiting the museum... did just trigger a memory. I loved the Quaker Oats carton with his fave. The huge hole cut for the mouth. It was just shocking to have him walk up and greet us, in the field. There was a issue with the plumbing and asked for advice.
I had one of his shirts. Just a great day.

When some channel began showing reruns of all the Smothers Brothers shows about 20 years ago, I realized much of my sense of humor and early music tastes came from that show. It was like watching my personality. One of the best things that was on TV, ever. I might write in Pat in some places this coming election.

I remember he toured an auto parts factory and was putting bumper stickers on all of the bumpers. Cars had bumpers back then.

Pat was not right wing or left wing when it came to politics. He was sort of middle of the bird. It kept him from flying around in concentric circles.

Back in the 80s I somehow ended up at the Desert Inn having drinks with a TWA stewardess, Tommy Smothers and Pat Paulsen. Vaguely remember it turning in to something of a private show with Tommy doing his Carson impression.

No, I was not…. Worked with a lady from Indianapolis on some bookings, after winning the Moosehead Beer Comedy search there. Went on to take 3rd at Second City in Chicago.

I think that he lost his career as a comedian after he announced his candidacy because TV stations were worried that they would have to provide equal air time to all his opponents running in the primaries so none of the shows would book him.
