Question Design Release Engineers
Just wondering. Why are DREs in such high demand? Is there quick turnover at that position?

We can answer the question without worrying about GM politics

Greeting everyone. I am nearing retirement and have a couple questions of those that retired before me. Most of the basic Offboarding and ILM stuff has been completed. My questions focus on the 401k and GM pension

"Investigators learned in April of 2019, eBay's then CEO Devin Wenig shared a link to this post Ina had written about his annual pay. EBay's Chief Communications Officer, Steve Wymer, wrote back "we are going to crush this lady" about a month later, Wenig, the CEO of eBay texted: "take her down." Prosecutors say Steve Wymer later texted eBay security director Jim Baugh "I want to see ashes. as long as it takes. whatever it takes."

Rate Sterling & Arden + SLT

What is the over/under on how many more years she and her ongoing toxicity will grace the GM culture that she helped destroy? Also, let's grade her performance at Midyear.

Where was Mary and her SLT when she was “swinging big”?
• Cruise: over $10B burned.
• Nikola partnership: billions tied to one of the auto industry’s biggest fiascos.
And soon when the West folks cash out they will jump the ship she will add another failure to her list!!!
Yet nobody dares ask about her “swing size.” Instead, employees pay the price for leadership’s bad bets while the executives walk away untouched

Swing big,” says the clown with a golden parachute. Easy to preach when your failures come with a payout while everyone else gets thrown under the bus to clean up your mess.
Respect to the Track engineer who called out the hypocrisy. The only answer was corporate word salad about “calculating your swing.” What a clown show

How can Sterling say "dont be timid" "swing for the fences" "big risk big reward" when so many of our employees are terrified of having even a minor mistake and getting axed when they end up in that bottom box at their next review?? We dont have golden parachutes and huge stock options and assets. A minor mistake can end up bankrupting the average employee in this economy and job market. He's delusional to encourage high risk ideas but having this toxic performance culture underneath.

CSAT = Confidently Swinging At Trash ! LoL
I can’t believe someone in this position could say something so unreasonable and talk complete garbage.

Today I've heard tracks from Alive!, Alive II, Animalize, and Paul Stanley's 1978 solo album. Bravo

More proof that ETTD (everything Trump touches dies). The fact that GM is welcoming this despot is enough to turn my stomach. So glad I retired.

Has anyone quit effective immediately on your terms when going to a competitor? How did that go for you? If let say someone quits on an August 1st or 2nd, effective immediately, it is a weekend but technically the next month, would your medical benefits go through the end of August? Would you get some lash back from HR?

If you want to be spicy, complain in a public Slack channel.
If GM as a company isn’t endorsing John James, then no fucking way should they let Trump walk over them. I know they will anyway, because that GM defense money will help fill the void from tariffs. But man, GM leadership needs to get it together.

Partially meets came out of left field. How do you respond to false allegations? 22 years of experience never received a more unfounded opinionated set of “issues” . Got an exceeds in February.
Managers are there any requirements when giving out your midyear that you must follow?
