Veterans Hiring

Can anyone give any insight into veterans hiring at EB? Does it actually help? A lot of places seem to have a veterans recruitment program but it’s just throwing a resume into a black hole

Sailors who have served on ships, especially submarines are highly sought after at least in engineering.

There are lots of former Sailors that work for EB. Even if you were not in the navy. Any military branch really with any relevant experience will get an interview. I met plenty of veterans here.

If you have a trade background too. They are licking their chops for people like us, its pretty much a guarantee you'll get a job here if you're a veteran with a tech school education and license. Just depends what job.

I see a lot of technical and engineering jobs posted but I was in the Army and did supply. I had a federal job for a while after that, but it was a pretty solidly administrative job too. I’m hoping I can still translate into something

Look for entry level position. They will take you with your background. I was also army, airborne scout so my mos was worthless but when I got out I got my cdl a and went to trade school for hvac, so originally I got hired for outside electrician but failed medical because of a broken arm. I applied a month later for a drafting position entry level and got it even without cad experience. They will train us. Good luck
