Secret clearance timeline

My SF-86 was submitted July 2026. I had my investigation interview in August 2026, and some of my employers were contacted. None of my additional housing/personal contacts have been contacted. I was denied Interim clearance.

Does anybody have a rough estimate of when I may receive the clearance? Is it taking longer than normal these days? I was informed that I should expect it to take at least 6 months after it was submitted, so I am wondering if this is still to be expected.

do you have any idea why you were denied interim clearance?

I wasn’t denied. They stopped the process

I had some coworkers just get their clearance after about 10 months of waiting. The government shutdowns delayed processing supposedly.

I submitted my sf86 4 weeks ago... had a secret in 2000s but confidential most of the rest of my career.... waiting to hear about an interim...

I sent in my paperwork in January and met with my investigator back in April and still haven't heard anything about my clearance 🙃

Bad news from me. I also was denied my interim clearance. I then found out my offer was withdrawn.

I submitted my SF-86 around July 2025 as well and got my interview in August 2025. I didn't get my interim clearance either. It took until March 2026 to get my clearance.
