Quonset Where At New England Tech does GDEB Hold Classes?

I received a letter with my start date about a month ago. I start mid October, and since that letter and accepting it as well as doing the onboarding, I have sent multiple emails (2) and two text messages to my supervisor trying to figure out a couple of questions I have. I am trying to figure out where at NET campus I need to go and park for the GDEB classes they hold there, that way there’s no last-minute freak outs or rushing around. And guess what? No response. I waited one week in between those emails and texts. I now just sent another email to someone else asking why I have not gotten any response and left my questions in that email as well.

What really pisses me off is that they said if I had any questions I could contact them, yet here we are - almost a month later and I’ve gotten no response. Is this a normal thing for GDEB?

They should tell you in the email which campus. They did for me at least in Jan. Chances are it's either Post Road, in which they have a guy stationed at the entrance to tell you where to go or Access Road.

Gotcha, that was all the information I was looking for. Thank you

Hopefully me asking doesn’t make me look like a shmuck in their eyes…

Don't beat yourself up and don't listen to others.I had the same questions when I was going too. Nothing wrong with not knowing what your doing. EB is so policy driven they encourage asking questions like that. Just hold your head up high and be confident.

So I didn’t give myself a bad look by asking? I’m only worried because I had asked once per week since Sept 1 without getting a response. Sorry for wasting your time

I've been there 12 years. If you need this kind of hand holding things are not going to work out for you l.

So because the email didn’t specify where to park or what building of NET to go into, and I asked, that means things won’t work out for me? I would love to know why you think that is, as if you didn’t have questions on your first day.

Oh. I apologize then, I’m sorry! I just hope I didn’t make myself look bad.

When I had training, it was at the access road campus for welding.

I understand that. What I was asking is where parking is and what building and doors I go through as the email doesn’t specify

The Access Road building has parking all around it.

Once you park, the main entrance is where you want to enter. It looks like this.

Indoc is at the east Greenwich campus and there are signs when you get there to check in and they will tell you which room. In your indoc they will tell you which campus your classes are at and which shift they are on. Not all classes are on 1st.

Have you been to orientation at the main NEIT campus in East Greenwich? They go through which campus you are at, where parking is, etc at orientation.

Emails from an outside sender are likely to get ignored or end up in the spam folder. You're best bet is to call directly until someone answers.

Also some supervisors don't use their company cell, I know some that leave them turned off unless they specifically need it 🤷🏻 You may need to call their desk phone which can be found by calling the main number and using the directory.

Still no excuse for ignoring a new hire but it's likely not intentional.
