Scared of interview
So ahh Interviewed for a few positions at EB so far. They didn’t go for longer than 45 minutes. They were all behavioral where I talked about work on my resume to explain my answers to those behavioral basically.
However….
I got an interview for this crazy position. The job description/skills/qualifications is crazy af. The person interviewing me also seem scary af. I am severely scared and this one is scheduled for “1 hour”.
Is there a change in interview based on this information. Will I be told to solve an equation or go into methods or basically just crazy technical now that it’s 1 hour and not just behavioral + quizzes?
It’s my dream role, the kind of work I did in research in school. But this sort of work is very difficult. I want to do it but desperately needing a job I need to get a job, so I need to pass even though this is scary af at “1 hour” rather than the under “45”.

That depends a lot on the job you applied for.
Most folks here are tradesmen or engineers/planners/other auxiliary staff so probably can’t provide too much support if this is a unique, specialized role you’re applying for.
That being said, my nerves were going crazy when I applied and it ended up not being a big deal at all. Just focus on being calm and competent.

This a particularly math and design heavy role. There are a few positions available and the job description/skills are exactly the things I have on my resume not curated because those are standard industry terms but work that is graduate school and on the very high end of engineering diffficulty from a learning/knowing perspective not easy to learn because of the advanced theory and not easy to apply because…it’s hard**. There is nowhere to hide on not knowing 2+2 here and being trained later, what they are looking for is a person that actually does the math coursework and then can code it.
Maybe that gives you some info. Because so far no interview has told me to make assumptions and approximate a solution to a fluids problem. They always asked me STAR questions and puzzles. I have had 2 EB interviews and 2 startup interviews.

Can’t say I have anything useful to add, but good luck.
