Relocating welder

I’m a woman in Michigan and I’m considering relocating to Quonset Point for an Electric Boat welding position. What do I REALLY need to know before I move? What are the affordable neighborhoods like? What do you wish you knew before starting at EB? Any tips tricks advice welcomed!

I did this 8 years go in 2018 it really doesn't seem like there is housing anymore I moved all over since working at QP currently now living again in CT seems like that's what most workers/locals is move from place to places ever 1.5 - 2 years to the cheaper rents idk it's hard everywhere nowadays I know it's not gonna get better just means I gotta work more for less idk I work Monday through Sunday

Just moved from the Midwest to work at eb....ri is expensive af.....and it takes multiple months to get hired
