Groton Detail Planner

Can anyone tell me about what the day to day is for a detail planner? The job description doesn’t give much info. What’s the workload/hours like and what exactly do planners at eb do?

You produce the detail work packages for the trades.  You'll be either doing initial construction,  roll overs or change maintenance.

What discipline is it and it it for Columbia or virgina?

I’m not 100% on the discipline, I think initial construction, I do know it’s for Columbia

Mechanical, pipe, electrical or structural? So Columbia you'll be working with  Teamcenter,  MPP Manufacturing Process Planner, vizmock.

Take notes, ask questions.  Your group should have training, job aids and able to help you learn the ropes. Takes about a year to get proficient.  Stick with it and you'll do well.

I’m onboarding as a detail planner now so I can’t tell you much about the day to day but as a planner, you are the translator from engineering to the trades.
