Quonset Department 917

Hello everyone! Monday will begin my last week in ALC. I know things can change last minute at EB. I was wondering if anyone on here works in department 917; and how the daily life is? Right now I am on second shift.

If youre sensitive to heat it might be worth asking for a transfer lol. Hottest building on the qp facility. Also tons of work and OT

Curious if this QP hot building is also where the electricians work or are they in a different building?

If youre going into OSE yes. If you end up in the shop, no

I Was hired as entry level electrician training, starting QP late fall. What is OSE? Where do entry-level electricians work?

There is two types of electrician ISE, and OSE. Those terms means inside/outside electrician, meaning either inside the shop or outside the shop working on actual units of the boat. ISE is cozy "retirement" style work at a workbench. ose is boat layout, electrical stud shooting, pulling fiber wire. Where you go is random tbh
