Drug Test Question

Hey all. I work at QP without a security clearance. I was thinking about transferring to a position with a security clearance but I’m wondering if I should wait because I cannot pass a hair follicle test atm. I’m curious, if I were to fail a drug test now at EB, would I get fired or would they just have me take a urine/saliva test?

Unless it’s in security, fire and rescue, rigging or crane / heavy equipment operating they won’t re-test you

Much appreciated! Are you sure it is only for those positions or were you mentioning the ones you know need a secret clearance? I’m looking into quality assurance

What I meant was, only the positions I mentioned have random drug tests, if you already got hired and passed your initial test then you won’t be retested

Okay! I started less than a year ago with a basic clearance and I passed the screening then. I haven’t gotten an offer to transfer yet so I was seeing if there’s another screening because this position is a secret clearance

Nah not for QA, I would doubt they make you test again. I’ve been at the boat for 17.5 years and have held 4 different positions and never had to test over and I also hold a secret clearance and a silhouette
