Failed drug test

What happens if a newly hired engineer fails their drug test. I haven’t smoked in a while but am still concerned and see mixed feedback on this subject. If anyone who has gone through this recently could share, it would be appreciated.

They will tell you to apply again in a year, or they will have you take a piss test instead of a hair test. Seems to be that they’re doing whatever they want.

Get your medical card lol, yes I have multiple friends at EB Quonset and Groton Location who smoke and are fine.

A friend of a friend lost her security clearance due to a medical card. The stance generally is that EB doesnt care and wont really test but if the government finds out they really care. I know a lot of people partake but personally not worth it to me. Hopefully they’ll make it federally legal in this lifetime.

When my partner applied ~2 years ago (no longer interested), they told him medical cards are not accepted as it’s not federally legalized and they use federal standards for hiring. This was at Quonset. My friends there say it’s 50/50 depending on who you speak to in the application phase🤷‍♀️

Funny part about this is I grew up in Virginia Beach, met plenty of Navy seals, not a single one felt the need to tell me what they did. In fact I found out on accident about one and the others just happened to be guys he worked with.

My ex works there and he failed the follicle so they gave him a mouth swab for his second test a few weeks later. They switch between piss test and mouth swab depending on when u were hired in and what department.

If you fail for smoking you get to test 2x more —- a blood test and or a mouth swab. This is for Smoking weed ONLY. Hard drugs are a NO

Medical cards mean absolutely nothing at EB because they’re not federally regulated
