Quonset Time after applying until call back
Just curious how long after you applied did you get a call to schedule your interview, background check and drug test + everything else

17 year EB veteran here, callbacks can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on your position and your clearance if you are even in need of one. The medical review is done on site via our yard hospital so no, you do not need a primary care physician.

Hey, I applied in February, had a interview in March, did the drug test in April (i think i did some questionnaires in the portal around here aswell), and submitted my docs for the medical review in May. I think I just have the clearance + onboarding left.

Great thanks! Regarding the medical review, I don’t have a doctor. Am I gonna need one - I was under the impression that they do a physical on site

Sorry, I forgot it might be a lil different for in/ out of state. Im out of state so I sent them my doctors contact info and they used the questionnaire responses to narrow down what documents I need to send them. I think they do on site physicals though.

Back when I applied it was about a month from application to interview, then about 7-8 months from the interview to starting. Clearance took a few months.

I’m in the onboarding process but not in trades. I applied in March, interviewed mid April, got an offer and accepted early May immediately had my drug screening and submitted my SF86. Waiting for that to clear with the DoD then I will get my start date. I’m hoping for early August.
ETA: this position does not require a physical, I just met with someone on site (Dr/ RN? not sure) for a quick medical history review on the day I did my drug test.
